The kitchen in our house is only 3x2 meters in size, with three division areas. The first section is for electronic goods, the second area is a cooking area complete with a sink and the third area is a serving area. To maximize space, the kitchen is made with lots of storage space, so it looks clean and tidy. As a decorative item, we added a shelf as a place for spices to beautify the appearance of the kitchen. We also added 2 hanging lamps above the minibar as focal points in this kitchen.

This time I will discuss the concept of room arrangement & spilling some of the materials used in RFL House. Like most space concepts in Scandinavian-themed houses, the spatial arrangement at RFL House also has an open concept house theme where there are no barriers between the living, dining and kitchen areas. The space concept at RFL House was designed by the architectural bureau Spacelab. We use the services of an architect because we feel that with professional help, building a house will be easier & well designed.

Still not far from the 'slightly' Japandi theme.
Yes.. Japandi is one of my favorite home styles. However, currently we have only realized it a little and also slowly, including in this kitchen area.
We made the kitchen set first after we finished the house contract. We chose brown-white and also a grayish backsplash with a terrazzo motif.
We also added a teak dining table that we customized at one of the Jepara furniture. We deliberately only added 2 chairs, because our child is still small. If our child wants to eat at this dining table, we will only add a high chair

Dining Room 🍽️
We set the open space dining room together with the mini kitchen in a warmer setting, dominated by dark brown wood. We filled it with a glossy coated tamarind wood table with a few holes to make it look natural. Actually, we ordered a length of 60cm so that the room would be more spacious, but after it was finished, it turned out that there was an excess of 10cm, but it didn't matter as long as it was easy to move to the kitchen, toilet and to the back garden.
We deliberately customized the stainless rattan wooden chair that we bought at the marketplace with Oscar foam and camel color (brown-orange) so that it looks fresher and not monotonous. This dining table is not only comfortable for eating but is also often used for sitting and working with a laptop/ipad because you can directly enjoy the green garden.
Don't forget, there is a coffee spot on the iron wood console table which we customized to suit your storage needs for placing basket boxes and rice containers. So that things can be arranged more neatly. On top of that we added more colorful decorations such as glass cups, vases, posters and acrylic shelves but still in keeping with the colors of the midcentury modern style. Hopefully you don't get bored of visiting, online neighbors 😉🙏

This time I will show you the dining room area at RFL House 😁
Because RFL House uses an open concept house concept, the dining room & living room areas become one unit without any partitions/barriers.
Therefore, to make it look neat, as much as possible we make the dining table area look clean, with just a little decoration from indoor plants.
To give a warm impression to the dining room area too, we chose furniture with wooden materials/accents which are still combined with monochrome colors.

In the past, in the corner where the antique cupboard was, we made an L bench to save space plus make a banquet dinning style. But it turns out that it can't fit many people, (yes, even though it's a liliput house but it's easy for a big family to gather here 😊) we finally decided to use a normal dining table instead so that it can be more spacious.
Many people say that if the house is small, the furniture is minimalist. Liliput's mother does not agree, because maximizing the available furniture actually makes a small room more homey and cozy. This dining room is an example, although the space is small, but we can sit comfortably and talk there. Our family loves to hang out here. Yes to eat, or just to chat.
