In building a Scandinavian themed house, I looked for inspiration through the Pinterest and Instagram applications. Starting from the facade design, main door, to bedroom makeover, we do not use the services of an architect.
For the facade, we chose a triangular roof design with high doors and windows to suit the size of the house's ceiling which is almost 4 meters high. Meanwhile, for the bedroom, we also did a self-makeover by ordering wall batten and choosing the paint ourselves without the help of an interior design expert. The advantage of designing without experts is that it is of course more budget-saving. But the minus is that the design doesn't come together as a unified theme, or it could be less neat.

Transforming a Plain Room into an Aesthetic One with Affordable Materials
It went viral some time ago, the use of affordable materials, namely "wall batten" as a substitute for wall panels. And I tried DIY in my room and yeeyyy it's real. Indeed, in terms of material, it is strong and more economical than wall panels. This green wall batten is made of MDF material.
The installation method is also easy, just arrange it according to the model you want, then glue it using sealant glue. After it is installed, paint it according to the desired color. You can save 3-4 times more than using wall panels.
My tip: use a lot of glue and evenly spread it over the entire wall batten area so that it sticks perfectly and does not come off easily.
