Creating My Version Of a #Dreamkitchen.
Hi, Fighting Friends!
This time I want to share the process of transforming a standard kitchen from this developer into my version of #Dapurestetik..
This 1.7 X 2.7 meter kitchen is equipped with a cast concrete table and a built-in sink. As the only kitchen in this house, I want to maximize its function and appearance with an affordable budget.
Interior Design? I did it myself.. Armed with some inspiration that I found through homedecor and design accounts and custom furniture vendors, this is My Version Of a #Dreamkitchen..
To give a sweet and modern impression, on the top cabinet I combined the Modern Contemporary Concept with flutted panel accents and glass cupboards. Meanwhile, to make maintenance easier and give a classic impression, I used dark colored accent panels on the lower cabinets.
Ooh yes, in order to maximize storage in this limited space, all my cabinets are custom made with full ceilings, OK...
Here I also added a minimalist and modern impression by using a cooktop and replacing the developer's built-in sink with an undermount sink with a larger capacity to maximize function and maintenance.
To install the stove and sink itself, here the concrete table is simply broken down according to the required size, OK? In addition, here there is also a table top that is placed directly on top of the existing concrete table.

The kitchen, which has an area of 2.8x2.8m, is equipped with an L-shaped cabinet and a set of foldable bar tables.
To keep the kitchen looking stylish and neat, make the dominant cabinet closed and use storage as a decorative element.
We use spice storage in various shapes and designs so that it can be used as a display in the kitchen and make the kitchen not seem full of items and monotonous.
We also chose some pink cooking utensils as an accent for the kitchen, where natural wood is the dominant color tone.

This is the kitchen and dining room in my house. I deliberately combined them to make it simpler and more comfortable to use for gatherings. While cooking, I can chat with those sitting at the dining table. I really like the rattan and wood elements, making the atmosphere warm and cool. The light from the big window also makes the room very bright, no need for lots of lamps during the day.

Making your dream kitchen set turns out to be a drain on your budget, but we can still work around it so it doesn't blow up too much. I've always wanted to have a kitchen with a wooden feel. So, we didn't make too many cupboards, just a few shelves which weren't too expensive. To beautify the room, we can put several items for decoration. So that it's not too stiff, I usually put more colorful decorations. Then, because the space is not too much and large, we don't buy too many kitchen equipment. So you can live more minimalistly.

Expectation vs. Reality: Building My Dream Kitchen
This white kitchen has been in my dreams for a long time. Finally, it came true at the end of 2021—two years after we moved into this house. In addition to having to prepare a budget, I was also quite selective in choosing a designer and contractor. After much consideration, the choice fell on Hyde Living.
The cost of designing and building this kitchen was around 50 million rupiah, not including kitchen appliances and additional accessories such as IKEA shelves, knobs, and small plant decorations that beautify the room.
In slides 2 and 3, you can see a comparison between the rendering image and the actual result. It turns out, it's very similar! The only difference is that we decided not to install a cooker hood because the roof was already tightly closed and did not allow for ducting.
Now, cooking is more fun! This kitchen is not only beautiful to look at, but also very functional.

Build a My Dream Kitchen

My Introverted Kitchen
So, when designing this kitchen, what I always think about is that I don't want any open shelves, I don't want to use glass. I want everything to be covered so it can't be seen in the kitchen.
And because I really like cooking and baking, I bought a stove that can accommodate a lot of dishes and can also do baking. So there are 2 ovens in the kitchen because it is to support your business as a baker.
This introverted kitchen is quite representative of my character, who is quite introverted. So that not everything can be seen. Understandably my house is small. Once guests enter, they immediately see the kitchen. So I want it to look neat and closed.

For me, the most important thing about a dream kitchen is from a functional perspective. Visuals are important, but if they are not comfortable to use for cooking, for example a layout that doesn't "flow" enough just because you are looking for visuals or cooking equipment that is incomplete, that is not included in the criteria for my dream kitchen.
