Rooftop Garden • eco-friendly & budget-friendly idea for tropical oasis Living in Jakarta in a cluster house area with buildings that are still standard by developers encouraged me to create this room with a very limited budget during the pandemic crisis. You understand... how boring it is to live in a small house that doesn't have a garden because of limited land. For that reason, we transformed the 3rd floor into a space for a family room, relaxing room, barbeque place, as well as a multi-purpose room for drying clothes haha... Salfok and the stairs? Here's an eco-friendly and budget-friendly tip, I made this stair railing from teak wood twigs which were polished so they were more durable, dried so they wouldn't get moldy easily and then attached them to the stairs, what do you think? Our story of finding a house is quite long, we have done several surveys in several places but have not found a match until finally we found a housing complex that is not too far from the center of Depok, and a house with fairly close toll access.
