We chose to use an architect because we felt we needed professional services who understand home design issues. After searching for an architect, the choice finally fell on @urban_sembilansembilan because we were attracted by the design results which suited our taste, namely industrial.
Because at that time it was still a pandemic & the architect was out of town, so he couldn't help with the construction process, so the architect only provided working drawings.

Low budget master bathroom. The ceramics are not fully up to the top, mix the unfinished walls so that the industrial impression is still there. Make a sandblast window in the corner for lighting, so that you save electricity, you don't need to turn on the lights during the day.

The terrace where I put almost all my favorite plants 😍😍
This terrace is also a place to receive guests who are not close. If they are close or family, they usually go straight inside.
Because our house was renovated during the pandemic, of course there is a sink in front of the house. However, after the pandemic, the sink is still used because we are used to washing our hands when we get home.

This laundry room was originally designed as a multifunctional area for drying clothes, storing outdoor AC, and water tanks. The renovation has been completed with simple results, highlighting dark gray walls and galvanized roofs, as well as expanded mesh railings for safety. Although it can be used, the design is still simple and prioritizes function.
In the future, this space will be beautified to be more aesthetic and functional. The addition of storage shelves, plant decorations, and floor finishing are expected to give a neater impression while being comfortable for everyday use.

This laundry room is an important addition because previously we had difficulty finding a place to wash and dry clothes. This room connects the upper and lower floors with an open design in a modern industrial style. The skylight above it helps with natural lighting, so even during the rainy season, clothes can still be dried inside with enough light.

Since the beginning of the design of the House of Aru, there has been a request from the architect to make a walk in closet. Finally it was realized, even though the area was limited, it was felt to be sufficient for storing clothes, bags, important documents, even suitcases.
This wardrobe was inspired by the wardrobe of a famous furniture store, then requested from the vendor to make it with a combination of Rayban glass & LED lights in it.

A dining table inspired by a famous furniture store whose prices will amaze you.
Luckily there was still quadra left from the kitchen table top, finally asked to cut it to the size of the dining table, then ordered the craftsman to make the legs and also the bench, then bought 2 dining chairs at a furniture shop which has now been discontinued.

This is a room on the 1st floor which has an open space concept where there is a foyer area, living room, dining room and also a kitchen that is integrated.
With this open space concept, the room feels wider because there are no partitions & this is where family activities are usually carried out.
For the 1st floor, the ceiling was deliberately made from exposed concrete and the electrical lines were displayed outside using black conduit pipes so that the industrial theme was more pronounced.

The facade of Roemah Pakal is very simple, only in the form of a square box with a brick motif ceramic accent and there is hollow iron wood and bengkirai wood for the terrace fence, balcony fence, second skin on the upper floor window facing south and sweeteners for the facade roof are also made of hollow iron and bengkirai wood

These are the rooms on the 1st floor of Roemah Pakal
Starting from the terrace of the house, yup, we don't have a yard, just a terrace and a small garden, the garage is located behind the house, coincidentally the position of our house is hooked
Then a simple living room, equipped with a sofa bench and box table, was given to us by our parents
There is a lounge room equipped with a 3 seater sofa bed, this is a place for my husband and I to chat and my husband's favorite spot for playing games, working until he falls asleep 😂
