Staying comfortable in a room with limited space, the key is choosing the right furniture.
At De Mahendra's house, I chose to make custom wadrobes, dressing tables and bedside tables for interior vendors.
By choosing custom furniture, a narrow room can feel spacious because the shape and size of the furniture can be adjusted to suit your needs.
For example, in this room, even though the space is limited, it still feels spacious and comfortable.
The choice of materials and colors can also be adjusted to suit your wishes and the theme of the room. In the main bedroom, custom furniture uses multiplex wood as the main material coated with white HPL and wood color. The white color in a limited space gives a spacious effect, wooden accents make the furniture sweeter and homier.

When redecorating the front of the house, I saw the potential to make it a little different. And the most important thing is how to make it look fancy but on a minimal budget.
One of them is by maximizing the stepping stones at the entryway with stencils painted white. I bought a stencil pattern from an online shop and asked the craftsman to help me paint it.
Apart from that, I also repainted the terrace walls with the addition of a new color, which is always my favorite color scheme.
How? Not bad results, right?

The dining area in my apartment is right in front of the entrance and is integrated with the living room. Because of that, I wanted to create a dining room that was functional and not too formal. Apart from eating, I also use this dining table for work and activities. This table was custom made with inspiration from a table by Milo Baughman which has mirror legs with a glossy finish. The glossy surface is also found on the vintage 70s chair that I painted black—the back and arm rest of this chair make working at the dining table more comfortable.
Most of the accessories in this dining room are also vintage items, including a 70s era glass chandelier and also a Thai version of a film poster that I bought in Bangkok some time ago. Ideally, I would love to have a room divider or antique sketch that I will use as a backdrop for this dining area to add an ornamental impression.

Living room with a Modern Industrial touch.
De Mahendra's house carries a Modern Industrial concept, one of which is applied to the Living Room. My husband and I chose this style because it suits my husband's wishes, who likes neutral colors like black, while I prefer things that are more simple and modern with woody accents but still have a clean look.
Modern elements are supported by the choice of sofas and carpets with abstract motifs. The floor lamp is made of aluminum metal, the side table with a touch of black represents an industrial impression.
Plus wall decorations and wall panels with wood nuances sweeten this living room.
The two styles are combined into one, added with wooden accents, making the house still feel industrial but clean and comfortable.

1. Titanic Lego
Oh, to get this, we have to go all the way to Japan, you know... because it wasn't available in Indonesia before, but now it's available in Lego stores... because of its fairly large size, this Lego Titanic is really eye-catching on our home island.
2. Of course, our Toto bathtub faucet... all the faucets and showers in our bathroom use Toto, apart from being an old brand which has been proven to be durable, the design is also chic
3. We ordered this dining table which measures 4.7 meters specifically from Selawe... proven wood craftsmen whose orders are never short... btw, to lift this dining table it took 14 people, you know, it's so heavy... so when this table arrived, it was fortunate that our contractor vendor was still available to make it. help put up this table, I can't imagine if it was just us and our family 😅

- Master Bedroom -
The master bedroom is a very private room for us, with an intimate atmosphere, we often gather here with the children before they go to bed and return to their respective rooms... while still dark brown and light brown are the dominant colors, we just play with colors. bright in the textiles we use.
Some of our furniture is custom made because our bed size is unusual, namely 2.4 x 2.2, the rest we buy from our favorite stores, namely IKEA and Kingkoil😊😊
