A semi-open space concept house can give a spacious impression, you know 😍. When you enter the house, you will see all the rooms without any separate walls. A small living room is not a problem, I just converted it into a lounge (I put a togo lounge chair) and sports equipment. To beautify the small room, I decorated the walls with various cute details and artificial rubber plants to make it fresh. Now, I put a guest sofa in the multipurpose room, because the room is more spacious here. Not only that, this room also functions as a dining room 🥰. The furniture used is also minimal, only 2-3 chairs and 1 small round table measuring 70cm. A house that has limited space and looks directly at the kitchen is no problem. You can get around it with natural bright colors like white to give a spacious impression. There's nothing wrong with a small house also having a back terrace with an open space concept. The sliding door becomes a partition between the inside room and the back terrace of the house. When the door is opened, it can provide good air circulation and maximum lighting. The choice of all-white room paint not only looks clean but also looks spacious. Part 2: Semi Outdoor Kitchen 🍃🍕 Even though the kitchen is a service area, cleanliness, comfort and aesthetics are still prioritized in this house. Why did we choose a semi-outdoor kitchen? First, we want to bring the backyard into the house so that the kitchen and other rooms have good air circulation and sufficient sunlight so as to minimize the use of mechanical energy. Second, we want to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces which can create a pleasant atmosphere and influence mood and productivity when working in the kitchen. The kitchen set material is Multiplex + HPL with a solid surface table top. Meanwhile, the roof covering is a combination of concrete roofing and a flat solar canopy with conwood latticework. Something you need to pay attention to when designing a semi-outdoor kitchen is protecting the furniture from the weather. Kitchen Set Details 🍴🥣🥘🍳 Let's take a closer look at @first21.haus' kitchen 🫶 Kitchen set with a size of 2 meters, a table top width of 70cm and a table top height of 85cm. Sink size 60x45cm. Using HPL cabinet material in wallnut color (dark brown), White resin table top. Green mosaic backsplash tiles motif. With 2 upper cabinets & 2 shelves. The upper cabinet is used to stock food ingredients. The left one is designed into 2 compartments and the right one is 1 compartment for more varied storage. Then I requested the function of this shelf so that it can place electronic devices that are tall & bulky such as food processors, blenders & airfryer, while the second shelf is for spices and pans as an extension for storing cooking utensils to make it easier when needed. For the lower cabinet consists of: 1) gas cylinder storage with railing that can be pulled out, 2) in the second cabinet there is a hanger for pans, drainers, basins, choppers etc., then there is a drawer for cutteleries and what I like the most is that there is still space for a spice rack on the right side. 3) plate rack & 2-sided glass rack (top and bottom), 4) the cabinet under the sink has a wet trash can (food waste) & as a storage for tools and cleaning products. Then for the rice cooker is on the drinking water gallon table which is positioned to the right of the dining table. This table has wheels so it can be pulled when taking drinking water. Then on the upper wall I added a wall board shelf for hanging towel cloths and small storage. Minimalist kitchen. There are no upper cabinets yet, because: 1. There are still not many kitchen utensils, so the lower cabinets already fit everything. 2. Plus there is a Bar Table that is made into a lower cabinet for storage, all the spices and others go there, so it looks neater. 3. Shelves for storing cups, the intention is only for temporary purposes but it turns out that after being installed it looks good too. 4. The kitchen in our house is only 3x2 meters in size, with three division areas. The first section is for electronic goods, the second area is a cooking area complete with a sink and the third area is a serving area. Styling Kitchen & Dinning I designed this kitchen & dining with a slightly dark natural wood nuance on the color of the kitchen set & dining table material. However, to avoid monotony, I mixed it with several materials with more vibrant and bright colors on stainless steel chairs with orange synthetic leather sofas, then glossy green mosaic tiles on the back splash and several decorations on the dining table. Like the artificial flower decoration that I customized with the types & colors that I like, then the choice of green placemats that match the kitchen blacksplash, and the red-black fruit bowls make it feel more comfortable to sit here for a long time even though the weather is cloudy, but I'm still happy while watching the rain that falls directly into the back garden.
