Actually, the kitchen at AK House is only used for instant cooking because we rarely order. With a simple design, at the moment we use curtains, and not a lot of equipment, because it's rarely used, maybe for making coffee, instant noodles or just boiling.

This kitchen area was originally only 1.6m which we added a little to make it an L shape like this.
for the kitchen we made sure all the cabinets were maximized according to our needs at home, there is a dish rack above the cooker hood because there is actually no more space in this kitchen.

So, the kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in the house. Since the beginning of building the house, I've had my own dream kitchen, with a Scandinavian mix Japandi concept, even though it's not perfect ๐.

My Dream Kitchen
One of my dream kitchens for my first house with lots of light and high ceilings so circulation in the kitchen is good.
The tones I chose were wood, white and black as sweeteners to make them more lively.

For the kitchen area. We chose a minimalist concept with light gray + white tones mixed with terrazzo motifs on the table top. So the color isn't monotonous. So the kitchen feels brighter and makes me enthusiastic about cooking ๐๐
The inspiration for my kitchen was actually looking at my old kitchen when I lived at my parents' house. Kitchen without upper cabinets. So it's true "as minimalistic as possible but still has maximum function.

โจ Open Kitchen & Mini Dining Room
Our kitchen is located at the back of the house. From the living room, you can immediately see the back area, where the kitchen and indoor garden are located.
We utilize the remaining 4x7m land into one open area that we use as a kitchen, coffee corner, laundry room, storage room and garden.
Our kitchen has a U-shape, to add space for the food prep area and mini bar. Next to the kitchen is an area that we use as a coffee corner & a place to store our sports needs.
We usually do activities in this entire area, coincidentally across from the kitchen is a multipurpose area. A place for children to play while looking at the indoor garden at home.
Hopefully our kitchen layout can inspire friends who have limited space at home.

One of my tricks for keeping the kitchen tidy even though there are lots of shelf openings is that there must be aesthetic baskets and also jars that are not only functional but can also be used as displays in the shelf area. like in my kitchen.
