Skylights Many online friends ask, do you regret installing skylights? I don't even regret it, because the skylight has been on my wish list for a long time. In the past, I wanted the skylight to run horizontally from one end of the kitchen set to the other end of the kitchen set. But since there is a room above the right side of the kitchen, it is not possible. So the skylight is designed in a position as seen in the photo. It turns out that this position is actually profitable, especially in the dry season like recently when polls have been hot 💥💥💥. So when the sun's rays fall on side A, I can do activities in areas that don't get sunlight because my kitchen happens to be 6 meters long, thank God, and so on, because the light usually comes from the left side of the kitchen. My Dream Kitchen: Before • After From the beginning of the house renovation, we wanted a kitchen that was open, without partitions, minimalist and full of light. The challenge is that the kitchen is open so it must be cleaned diligently, it also has to be pleasing to the eye. We deliberately didn't use a cooker hood because the ventilation in this kitchen is very good with the window above the stove. Large windows also let in lots of light, making the kitchen and other rooms bright and eliminating the need to turn on the kitchen during the day. We chose a custom kitchen set made from HPL-coated multiplex material with a matt gray color that is easy to clean and doesn't look shiny and oily. For the top table we used a matte white quadra which is claimed to be low maintenance and durable. • RFL House • This time I want to show several rooms in my house, so that I can give you a little idea about RFL House as a whole. Our main reason for designing this house is, we want an ideal house for us, namely a house that is simple and comfortable. The definition of a comfortable house for us is a cool house with good air circulation & quality, so you can see there are lots of openings in this RFL House. After living in this house too, we changed one of the rooms in our house, which was previously our second child's room, but now we function it as a hobby room & home office. This year we decided to remodel our kitchen, the previous HPL color was brighter and yellow, now we are changing the HPL to a brownish wood color so that it gives a warmer impression, without abandoning the Japanese concept. We also changed the table part to gray from the previous light wood color The backsplash was also changed from a square bevel to a pre-cut tile or what is usually called a KitKat motif. We also added additional storage, namely cupboards under the stairs, because the space for our kitchen is not very large, we used the space under the stairs for the kitchen area and storage. From the start of designing the kitchen island, the first model of stool that I wanted was like this, only made of wood, not rattan. We really consider the kitchen design in this house, even though the kitchen is a service area, in our opinion, kitchen design does not only focus on function but it is also mandatory to consider aesthetics. At first our kitchen was just a straight concrete table which was only enough to accommodate a kitchen sink and a 2-burner stove, because it was felt that it wasn't enough to accommodate our activities in the kitchen, in the end we expanded the kitchen area with a more modern design.
