✍🏻Tips for keeping my small sink organized.
I like having my sponge holder attached to the sink and a roll-out dish drainer. I repurposed the unused hole on the countertop—originally meant for dish soap—into a bar glass rinser. It’s so convenient for home café baristas to wash glasses and tumblers more efficiently!🥃

Hi, meet again with this handsome kitchen gang senggol.
Although our kitchen is not an Open Space concept, we still installed a kitchen set to make it look more compact and neat.
Because our house is small, we decided on a lot of storage to maximize the placement of space and items so that it doesn't look messy.

Kitchen Set Details 🍴🥣🥘🍳
Let's take a closer look at @first21.haus' kitchen 🫶
Kitchen set with a size of 2 meters, a table top width of 70cm and a table top height of 85cm. Sink size 60x45cm. Using HPL cabinet material in wallnut color (dark brown), White resin table top. Green mosaic backsplash tiles motif.
With 2 upper cabinets & 2 shelves. The upper cabinet is used to stock food ingredients. The left one is designed into 2 compartments and the right one is 1 compartment for more varied storage. Then I requested the function of this shelf so that it can place electronic devices that are tall & bulky such as food processors, blenders & airfryer, while the second shelf is for spices and pans as an extension for storing cooking utensils to make it easier when needed.
For the lower cabinet consists of: 1) gas cylinder storage with railing that can be pulled out, 2) in the second cabinet there is a hanger for pans, drainers, basins, choppers etc., then there is a drawer for cutteleries and what I like the most is that there is still space for a spice rack on the right side. 3) plate rack & 2-sided glass rack (top and bottom), 4) the cabinet under the sink has a wet trash can (food waste) & as a storage for tools and cleaning products.
Then for the rice cooker is on the drinking water gallon table which is positioned to the right of the dining table. This table has wheels so it can be pulled when taking drinking water. Then on the upper wall I added a wall board shelf for hanging towel cloths and small storage.
The most emphasized thing in organizing my kitchen is to buy items according to needs only, each item must have a clear place so that the storage is not full so that in maintaining the care of the items, the cleanliness & tidiness of the kitchen is maintained 😉

kitchen set is my daily life
yasss! as a stay at home mom, most of the housework is here, preparing family meals, cooking preparations, washing dishes, making snacks or iced coffee/chocolate.
we don't decorate the dining table and we leave it clean when we're not eating. so, minimalist and functional decorations in the kitchen set area only, plus cabinets that contain lots of space for storage.
teak wood kitchen shelves are my favorite items!
the design is neat, the color is beautiful, the finishing is smooth, it can really be used to store kitchen spices, favorite mugs or other small decorations (can be changed every week to reduce boredom).
to freshen up the atmosphere I added some artificial plants as decorations to make it more comfortable to look at overall among the stainless and black items in this area.

Kitchen & dining room atmosphere when it's cloudy🌧️🌧️ Personally, I really like the kitchen and dining area that are combined into one room. I think the flow is better, cozy, and cleaning is also easier because usually the kitchen and dining table are the areas that are most easily messy. If combined into one room, cleaning can be done faster and other spaces can be used for other purposes

Because our space is not too big, we utilize this room to be a full open kitchen that blends with the dining area to give a spacious impression. Usually when friends come over we like to chat while drinking coffee and snacking at this table, the vibes are like chatting while hanging out at a cafe because we deliberately chose a closed cabinet so that the kitchen is neat and not messy. The finishing of the HPL, walls and lighting are also carefully considered, so that this room feels comfortable and warm.

After 9 years of living in this house, we were finally able to renovate our alley senggol kitchen as we wanted. Previously, our kitchen had a bold theme with black as the dominant color.
One of the frugal tricks that I use is to utilize modular furniture and open shelves, which are more affordable than custom built-ins. In addition, choosing neutral colors and durable materials makes this kitchen less boring.
I chose a kitchen table makeover with lighter wood motif stickers to give a warm touch and contrast with the black cabinets. The white ceramic backsplash with black grout is also the main choice because it is easy to clean and remains timeless.

We only have 1 kitchen at home, whether it's clean or dirty, it's the same. Want to cook something smelly or light cooking, just here. The concept is integrated with the dining and living areas, aka open space. So we have to think about how to keep it integrated and functional, finally we added a sliding door so that when cooking the smell doesn't spread throughout the house. But when it's not being used for cooking, the door can be opened and the room remains an open space.
This is our solution so that the concept remains a regular open space, saves budget, doesn't need 2 kitchens, and remains functional!!!!

After finishing work around 6 pm, I usually go straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner with my parents. It’s kind of our thing, dinner prep is a moment where we chat a lot while cutting vegetables, preparing spices, and cooking dinner. It’s not complicated cooking, bit it always feels special because we tend to cook something extra delicious for dinner😋🍲

The first room that I designed & built when this house was finished was the kitchen. Initially, the kitchen in this area was very small, because I like to cook I decided to expand this kitchen. From the beginning I wanted more closed cabinets so that it wouldn't be messy and minimize dust, the kitchen island here we use as a dining table, preparation table and storage to maximize space.

The kitchen sink area rarely appears, because it is still built by the developer. Just a little makeover on the backsplash and table top using wallpaper stickers to make it look more aesthetic and matching.

Actually, this kitchen is what makes my account really busy on Ohouse which is said to be inspiring 🥹
Even though this tiny kitchen like Gang Senggol is only 1.65 m wide and 4.8 m long.
It's not an open space kitchen either, because we bought this house already built by the developer and there is a partition between the family room and the kitchen.
Previously, this kitchen had an open kitchen theme (slide 6) so there were no kitchen cabinets, we only added shelves to store kitchen spices, but it did look messier.
After living in the house for 5 years, we had a little fortune to change the kitchen and add cabinets / kitchen sets in full black. We covered the backsplash and table top with wall stickers to save on the budget (slide 5).
Finally, this is our kitchen now, after joining ohouse from season 3-5, thank God I saved the benefits from ohouse and used it to renovate the kitchen, by replacing the backsplash, replacing the sink built by the developer, and adding vinyl to the kitchen floor.
Thank you O!House, for this amazing knowledge and experience. Thank you also for supporting this developer's tiny house, which was originally ordinary, now extraordinary 🥹🩵.
