I don’t usually call myself a collector… but when it comes to elegant, well-designed seating, I might be just a little obsessed 😌
I had these West Elm bar chairs in mind for months — the exact shape, the wooden seat, the dark silver legs — and was hunting for a used pair that would match our kitchen’s tone perfectly. Then one day, like magic, they popped up on Facebook Marketplace just a few blocks away… in perfect condition! ✨

After 9 years of living in this house, we were finally able to renovate our alley senggol kitchen as we wanted. Previously, our kitchen had a bold theme with black as the dominant color.
One of the frugal tricks that I use is to utilize modular furniture and open shelves, which are more affordable than custom built-ins. In addition, choosing neutral colors and durable materials makes this kitchen less boring.
I chose a kitchen table makeover with lighter wood motif stickers to give a warm touch and contrast with the black cabinets. The white ceramic backsplash with black grout is also the main choice because it is easy to clean and remains timeless.

Kitchen materials at home✨
The kitchen in my house uses ceramic material on the backsplash, the top table is made of whit carara marble, the dour cabinet uses plywood with HPL finishing.
All materials chosen are adjusted to the budget and theme of the house. Because this house is modern industrial, the colors chosen are neutral earth tones, and a combination of raw wood colors.
The floor in the house also uses gray to blend in with the kitchen theme.

This kitchen was finally realized after sacrificing one warehouse room on the right side (see second slide, OK). One thing that makes me satisfied is that I chose to use the services of an interior designer to draw and measure the island table and special cabinets for all the furniture I have, and create a more functional up-to-ceiling cabinet design, so that the kitchen is neatly organized.

This is my small kitchen which doesn't have too much space, so what do I have to do with decorations that I can stick on the wall, but as much as possible I make it comfortable and aesthetic so that when I cook I can be happy. The style I'm using for my kitchen right now is Japanesedi with white mix brown nuances, I like wooden nuances because they give a cozy impression. And the white checkered wall decor adds its own aesthetic. Using a shelf with a wood grain pattern adds a cool touch and is suitable for mixing with white. I was inspired by the many photos or uploads of several content creators who used the same style. I also try to match the kitchen details that I choose to match the theme or tone of this kitchen.

Meet again with this Senggol alley kitchen.
Finally I can make my dream kitchen come true.
I've always really liked the color black, so when I bought a house I immediately applied it with the initial monochrome theme.
When we first occupied the house, we did a small renovation of the kitchen backsplash, kitchen table top and kitchen floor with black granite.
Thank God, after living in this house for almost 9 years, now we have added a black kitchen set, replaced the kitchen backsplash with a dominant white color to make it brighter and also replaced the developer's built-in sink.

Kitchen: Still beautiful without a kitchen set.
Getting around the limited space and budget to repair & organize this kitchen, which was previously shabby, became functional and more aesthetic.
To make it aesthetic, I first cleaned it and painted it white.
▫️I still maintain the original backsplash that came with the house. Because the classic square motif is suitable for the minimalist style in this small kitchen.
▫️I added a shelf as a replacement for the kitchen set. This shelf is also efficient for placing spices & decorations that support the kitchen.
