➖ Mini Garden Makeover
We use the mini garden area in front of the house, which is only 3x0.8 meters wide, for a dry garden so that it remains beautiful and has green plants that are easy to care for.
We lightly makeover the #IKEA decking that has started to look dull due to 5 years of use, with real teak decking that has been finished, so that it matches the theme of our house better.

The facade of the house is very tricky, especially if you buy a developer cluster house that cannot be changed.
You can see the strong Japandi on the facade of this house 😍
We chose this house because we fell in love with its Japandi facade. It has a minimalist touch but the Japaneseness is still strong from the color of the facade.
To make it even more Japanese, we added a canopy with a brown ceiling.

Previously, the side area of our house was planted with grass, but because sunlight did not reach the grass area, there were parts that were not alive so we decided to replace it with a dry garden (last slide for the before photo). In addition, we also added some new plants.
In our opinion, replacing the grass with gravel and adding house plants makes the appearance of the house more tropical. _

The garden in front of this house is often a place for my husband and I to drink coffee while telling stories and also while watching the children play in the garden... even if my husband is bored wfh at home, he often also has a zoom meeting in the park here when the morning sun is gone because it is This part of my house is highlighted by only the morning sun, so it's cool during the day.

The landscape in our house has 3 parts, front, right side and back.
Because the house faces East which is hot from morning to noon, we planted the front area with Japanese grass which is resistant to heat and other plants were also chosen that are resistant to heat but still shady with wide leaves in some parts.
The side garden area is only planted with elephant grass to make it more spacious because it is a children's play area, can be used for running, outdoor sports, or picnics.
The back garden area was originally grass but because it was covered by a house building so it didn't get sunlight, the grass growth was not good and because the area was damp the soil became mossy, then we replaced it with gravel.

This is my home fence style. Only from plants. Using pucuk merah plants. Easy maintenance, just watered in the morning and evening, trimmed only once every 1.5 months. Because in my Cluster actually not allowed to install permanent fences, so on average all neighbors' houses are without fences. But if fenced with plants like this is allowed.

Our outdoor space is spacious. Almost 75% of our land area is open space. Indeed, our dream is to have a small house surrounded by a large garden, a house that looks simple, in a village, but still neat, and does not cause tension with the surroundings. Garden Patio.
Alhamdulillah I was finally able to change the patio garden in the casadirio. We decided to make a minimalist Japanese-style dry garden that only uses 1 tree and some natural stones.
We chose monkey fern for the tree because it can withstand direct sunlight and also because of its beautiful leaf shape.

The answer: none of them are real! All the plants in this photo are artificial plants. In our house, because of the lack of light, it is very difficult for plants to grow fresh. They end up dying 🥲 So I started collecting artificial plants. They don't need sunlight, don't need to be watered, and still look fresh every day. It's perfect for those of you who are busy but still want a lively and aesthetic home atmosphere. Less maintenance, still cool. Green without the fuss! 💚
