Since this house is a growing house, the service area was created later considering the increasing number of items in an irregular arrangement filling the room.
Currently, the progress of the service area & laundry room has only reached 90%, then a portable clothesline will be installed to save limited space and additional indirect lighting as an aesthetic element to the room even though this room is only a service area.

Laundry room.
This laundry room is on the 3rd floor, because our clothesline is indoors, we use a skylight to make it easier to dry clothes after washing.
This room is designed simply and minimalist with a combination of white and brown.

A tiny laundry room that was easy to decorate. Because you need additional space for soap bottles and clothes hangers. Finally we decided to use an open cabinet that was drilled into the wall, saving space but very functional and still aesthetic.

Laundry Room Story.
Laundry Room with Area P: 5.5m x W: 2.5m.
Initially it was the most neglected room because it was not touched by renovation during the construction of the house.
Because the size is quite large, you can arrange the laundry room by having a wet area and a dry area.
In the wet area, an arch is made with solid camphor wood shelves. To make it more durable & long lasting.
Finally the dream of having a comfortable laundry room came true after the renovation process was continued in this section.

The service + laundry area is the room in the house that has the potential to be disorganized and unsightly because its function is to accommodate household utensils and other cleaning equipment.
The solution, we made a cabinet to organize all the items that we will store in it so that everything is stored neatly according to the list of item categories that was previously created for the cabinet design needs.
The existence of a cabinet also helps facilitate flow in laundry activities, so apart from adding to the aesthetic value of the room, the cabinet also allows the room to function optimally according to its purpose✅

The service area + laundry room in this room only has an area of 3.2 x 2.2m.
To maximize the limited space, we made full storage up to the ceiling so that it can accommodate a larger capacity, starting from storing laundry needs, cleaning tools, household utensils and shoe storage shelves.
In this area, a special service bathroom/spare bathroom was also created to support activities in the service area.

The room concept is made compact to suit the small size of the room.
The storage area is used to store tools and shoes, while the storage around the washing machine is used to store laundry equipment.

Although the laundry area is a service area, we still want the area to have aesthetic value.
Therefore, the laundry area is placed across from the dry garden which contains various types of cactus plants with different types and shapes.
We chose cactus because it has various types of aesthetic shapes but is still low maintenance.
