“Limited Space, Unlimited Style: Kitchen & Dining Room Inspiration”
This small kitchen that is integrated with the dining room can be decorated beautifully and efficiently. Since this house has 5 residents, more than 4 dining chairs are needed, so there is a kitchen island table with 2 bar chairs.
The L-shaped kitchen maximizes the corner of the room including the cooking area (stove), food processing table, washing area (sink) and refrigerator as a place to store food.
This kitchen has undergone several makeovers to adjust the existing budget. The first kitchen in 2016 (last slide) and changed to the first slide in 2024. It has been 8 years in the process.
This is a change in the kitchen design from white to all wood combined with dark gray. One of the changes with LOW BUDGET is by only replacing the cabinet coating and also covering the island table with PVC coating to make it look like new.
To make it look fresh, decorate it with small green plants as decoration and install decorative hanging lamps. Complete with shelves to store spices, food or medicine.
📌 Kitchen set material multiplex hpl taco layer combined with pvc interior film coating. For the upper cabinet using kertasive hemlock and virrato wood motif coating, while the lower cabinet uses taco midnight gray hpl coating TH 006 AA.
📌 The kitchen countertop uses granite tile marble motif brand infiniti casablanca gray glossy size 60x60.
📌 The island table comes from an old kitchen table granite coated with pvc interior film kertasive travertino white motif.

If yesterday we saw the bar table from the living room, this time we see the bar table from inside the kitchen, it turns out that there is still a table that is shorter than the bar table and we use it to store the food we have cooked, rice cooker, plates, spoons and kitchen utensils that are commonly used such as cutting boards and knives. This table also functions for us to prepare food that will be served to the bar table. Both are made of solid cast concrete coated with black granite.

Some low budget materials that I use for the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom door and refrigerator.
- For the kitchen table, I use a cement cast table covered with glossy white granite so that the cost is cheaper than using solid surface.
- The bedroom floor, I use wood motif granite measuring 15x80cm so that when viewed it resembles vinyl material.
- Using a bathroom door made of PVC material which is affordable and durable.
- Initially the refrigerator was black, to match the color theme at home, I made over the refrigerator with kertasive.

This is how we organize a minimalist kitchen with limited but multifunctional storage areas:
1. Using a kitchen table that also functions as a storage shelf. At the top as a place to cook, in the middle area to put a microwave, and at the bottom to put an oven or other cooking utensils
2. Installing a long shelf on the top area of the backsplash. Its function is to store various cooking utensils with an open space concept. Although it looks simple, it looks more spacious
3. Multifunctional storage trolley/rack between the kitchen table and the laundry area (washing machine), considering that this area uses an open space concept that combines the kitchen and laundry areas, we place a trolley for storing soap or cleaning tools as a divider. This trolley is suitable for placement in limited areas

This kitchen is 2.3 x 3.6 m in size and is directly adjacent to the dining table. Because it is medium-sized, we designed it in such a way with an L-shaped stove and sink area and an additional peninsula for preparing ingredients and baking.
Because we have only been living in this house for about 2 years, the storage is still partly empty, but learning from our parents' previous house, we maximized the space so that not many items are displayed in the outside area so that it looks neater.
There is an area for storing spices, sugar, flour, rice and snacks on the right side of the refrigerator. On the left side there are drawers for spoons, forks, chopsticks, and other cutlery.
Stock of tissues, soap, and cooking utensils, juicers, and others under the peninsula. We also still keep the cardboard with the warranty card in it.
A wet dish rack next to the sink, and a place for plates, bowls, and glasses on top.
In the left corner we made a shelf for medicine, first aid, and jars of cereal, rice, and snacks that are easy to reach. So that it is not boring, we put some decoration items ✨

Small changes have a big impact on our kitchen, namely the floor. The previous floor only used ceramics from the previous homeowner and then we changed it by using spc flooring. The atmosphere of the kitchen immediately changed 🥰

✨ Welcome to Our House
The journey to find our house was like finding our soul mate. The first time I saw it and liked the area which was in the hills, but still quite close to the urban area. But unfortunately at that time the unit was Sold Out.
A year later, I accidentally saw the housing advertisement again, it turned out that there were 2 units left because someone canceled the booking. One of the units finally became our current home. It was perfect to get the corner unit, so we felt more free because it was rarely passed by people.

Open space is the concept of our house, including the dining table which is in the same area as the kitchen. Carrying the industrial style, the majority of colors are more black/bold
The plus thing is that having a dining room combined with the kitchen is definitely just 1-2 steps, just turn around, you don't have to go far, so when you're finished cooking, you don't have to go far to set the table, it's not hot, it's not crunchy, it's also quick when you want to fry it again. Later, when preparing sahur, it will be delicious if the kitchen is next to the dining table and you can set one set
But the bad thing is, sometimes the air used from cooking still tends to stick when we eat so it feels stuffy. The solution is to have a wide opening around it, which can be a window/door & turn on the hooker.

Because I don't have a kitchen set yet. I use shelves from ikea as a place to store storage, airfryer and slow juicer.
In this kitchen there is no cooking activity with a stove, so this is indeed used as a clean kitchen.
Although it looks very simple, it looks spacious and fresh.
