It's a bit unique because at the beginning we didn't decide on any theme for #tinyhouselivinghigh. We design furniture that we like, we decorate it with prints that spark joy. And the more the house is filled, the more we realize that the direction of the design theme in our house is #midcenturyjapanese. Basically it's mid century but Japanese inspired.
This theme is really felt on the 1st floor area, namely the open space for the living room, dining room, kitchen & foyer.

Starting from an interest in home interiors in Scandinavian countries, everything influenced the interior design for my own home. After moving into my current house about 6 years ago, my tastes shifted towards mid-century modern, mid-century Japanese and Danish design.
