In the past, in the corner where the antique cupboard was, we made an L bench to save space plus make a banquet dinning style. But it turns out that it can't fit many people, (yes, even though it's a liliput house but it's easy for a big family to gather here 😊) we finally decided to use a normal dining table instead so that it can be more spacious. Many people say that if the house is small, the furniture is minimalist. Liliput's mother does not agree, because maximizing the available furniture actually makes a small room more homey and cozy. This dining room is an example, although the space is small, but we can sit comfortably and talk there. Our family loves to hang out here. Yes to eat, or just to chat. The antique wardrobe, Liliput's mother purposely ordered custom, so it is not an old wardrobe but a new one made to look like an antique. Basically, this house's initial theme is a farmhouse with a touch of shabby chic. But actually, I really love the interior of houses in American TV series. Finally, Rumah Liliput becomes a 'mixture' because of the combination of traditional (vintage) and more modern furniture, from materials to color selection. Actually, we don't have a specific color palette for our home decor. We want it to be colorful, but not too bold. We want one color statement in a particular piece of furniture (in our living room is the red antique drawer). We still want one chair with a bold color, but we're still looking for it.
