Small But Cozy Room My small bedroom is only 3x4 m in size, but I transformed it into a cozy room and decorated it aesthetically. To keep it looking more spacious, I chose furniture that utilizes the walls such as functional hanging floating wall drawers, minimalist wall shelves. For lighting, I use 2 types of lighting, cool day light and warm white, so just choose according to your needs. And again, to give a minimalist impression and the room looks spacious, the bed I use is also very simple, made of teak wood measuring 120x200 but still looks aesthetic. This bed is still enough for two people, as proven when my mother came, this bed was enough for the two of us hahaha. I decorated my small bedroom like a hotel. And to keep the air circulation good, I specifically customized a glass window that is 200x150 wide where there is a part that can be opened. This room is approximately 6m x 2.75m, including an en-suite bathroom. Because of its elongated shape, it's honestly a bit tricky to arrange the furniture. This room used to be the main room before the renovation. But now it's used as a guest room with minimal decorative touches. So that guests who stay feel comfortable, this room is equipped with an en-suite bathroom. We deliberately chose a bright color for the paint so that the room looks spacious and clean. 🔆 Kitchen Storage Without Kitchen Set 🔆 Because my kitchen size is only 2.2mx2.2m, and there are quite a lot of items, while I don't use a kitchen set and there is no storage in the dining room, I utilize the space under the kitchen table and the shelves on the wall as a storage area for eating and cooking utensils. For the space under the kitchen, I use cheap but quite durable waterproof curtains. While the shelves in this kitchen, I use shelves made of Dutch teak wood and particle board, combined with black angles so that there is a classic element. The iron cabinet in this kitchen I customized at a welding shop near my house with iron plate material painted white and gold knobs to make it more coquettish. This house was last renovated in the late 2020s. We moved in again in early 2021. According to my mother, the current facade is the icon of the house. It's so cute 😁. In the past, my mother asked my husband to make a balcony on the ground floor terrace so that she could utilize the roof of the ground floor terrace. Now the balcony is used as a seating and planting area. The living room area which is integrated with the mini pantry on slide 2 is the realization of my mother's desire to have an open plan area. 🔆 Low Budget White Facade 🔆 I used to really want to have a house with a gable roof facade, but after considering it seemed heavy on the construction and maintenance budget, I finally got a house with this very minimalist facade. The facade is just a box and a sloping model on the roof so that there is no need for gutters on the right and left sides, so rainwater just falls to the front of the house. This model also requires minimal maintenance, because there is no problem with clogged and overflowing gutters and can affect seepage into the walls or leaks. The facade that still uses corrugated asbestos as its roof, was chosen because it is cheap compared to tiles, but the downside is that the house feels a bit hotter than using tiles. In the past, this facade and terrace area were first painted sky blue and white, then changed to soft gray and white, but in the end I decided to paint all the walls and fences white so that they are cleaner and fresher. The entrance to this house has 2 openings in the fence, the side is only big enough for people to enter and exit, and the front is for vehicles to enter and exit. The front uses a folding fence because there is no access to the right and left walls, all fences. This house is located in a densely populated area in an alley, so it took quite an effort to photograph the front of this facade because the size of the front road only fits one car. 🌸 Tips and tricks for making small land feel spacious 🌸 Here are some things that I apply in my house which has a land area of only about 75 square meters to make it feel more spacious: 1. Mezzanine.
