AFTERNOON ATMOSPHERE IN THE DINING ROOM - Ramadhan Day 1 . Coincidentally, when I was preparing my sahur meal, before everyone got up for sahur, I snickered first 😀. Creating a cafe-style atmosphere at home has been my dream for a long time, thank God it has been achieved according to the existing budget 😀. I love teak + rattan furniture, so to create an aesthetic and comfortable cafe-style dining room atmosphere in this old house, and also make you feel more at home hehehe, I chose a custom teak dining table from Jepara. Previously, this dining table was a set with teak armchairs, in my opinion the house was getting narrower, in the end I replaced the dining chairs with benches and stools also made from cutsom teak wood, so that this small room looked spacious. The previous yard floor was the same as the garage floor with the bicycles, so that the yard looks aesthetic, I added synthetic grass and unvarnished wooden decking because the price is cheaper, then I varnished it myself at home 2. I really like things that smell aesthetic and back to nature and I feel like this corner reflects what I want, "I really like that". Because of that corner, my dining room looks bigger just so aesthetic 😅. Well, this is the view at night, it's really nice to see in my eyes, you know 🤭. My favorite things, which make them more aesthetic are: 1. Wooden hanging pot. Honestly there are 4 pcs. Since buying it, it has had various uses. Before is the corner for washing clothes with the washing machine. Well, when I was doing a bathroom makeover, an incident happened that actually happens often. The washing machine drain hose is loose from the drain hole, so the water goes everywhere. Because at that time there was still a lot of cement because of the bathroom makeover, so the vinyl floor was very dirty and the color was faded 😭😭. Finally some of the vinyl was removed and replaced with a hexagonal ceramic floor with irregular laying. When the craftsman was installing ceramics, on the wall there was a water tap from the washing machine and there was also a 2.5" water drain hole. Is it used as a place for ablution? 🤔. Since I'm thinking this is in the dining room area, why not a sink?? So, this wash basin was created and I also added irregular hexagonal ceramic tiles to the walls. How?? 𝙈𝙮 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 My house is close to my parents' house (still in the same complex), to be honest, this is my family's land, which we (my husband and I) bought (not given 😁🫣). So I have lived in this complex since 1984 and have lived in this house since early 2000. This house was built in 1999 (a jaduullll sekalee house 😁). What's amazing is that the layout of the rooms in this old house hasn't changed, you know (you can check before and after), the only things that have been changed are the color of the wall paint/wall design, the interior of the kitchen, the vinyl flooring, the shape of the ceiling, the stair railings and I'm just playing with the interior. and just replace the furniture. For example, I replaced the kitchen floor with original custom tiles from Jogjakarta, the kitchen was replaced with a kitchen set, I replaced the dining table with a teak dining table with chairs without backrests (bench), so that the house looks wider, I replaced the stair railing with a combination of iron and wood on the handles, etc. ☺️. For me, a house has to be comfortable to live in, when I'm in the house, I have to feel comfortable spending time in the house and the house doesn't have to be a new, contemporary house.
