We designed this living room using a Japanese-style and neutral concept measuring 3.5 x 5 m, deliberately making it spacious because we usually spend time in this room. Apart from being used as a place to receive guests, you usually also use it as a family gathering room.

A semi-open space concept house can give a spacious impression, you know 😍. When you enter the house, you will see all the rooms without any separate walls.
A small living room is not a problem, I just converted it into a lounge (I put a togo lounge chair) and sports equipment. To beautify the small room, I decorated the walls with various cute details and artificial rubber plants to make it fresh.
Now, I put a guest sofa in the multipurpose room, because the room is more spacious here. Not only that, this room also functions as a dining room 🥰. The furniture used is also minimal, only 2-3 chairs and 1 small round table measuring 70cm.
A house that has limited space and looks directly at the kitchen is no problem. You can get around it with natural bright colors like white to give a spacious impression.
There's nothing wrong with a small house also having a back terrace with an open space concept. The sliding door becomes a partition between the inside room and the back terrace of the house. When the door is opened, it can provide good air circulation and maximum lighting.
The choice of all-white room paint not only looks clean but also looks spacious.
Before the renovation, the old kitchen looked like a partition wall which after the renovation I changed the wall to be curved at the top (arch) here because the wall pillars could not be dismantled, it can be tricked, it turns out to look different hehe

Initially, this room used a partition between the living room and kitchen, but it felt cramped, so we decided to change the layout, removing the partition between the living room and kitchen.
And according to our expectations, the room became more spacious, the kitchen area which was initially cramped, now we can make a kitchen set with a size of 2.40 plus a cupboard under the stairs.
The open space concept is indeed the key to making the space more spacious.

I call it this because it is specifically for receiving guests where they can be served food and drinks here, because it is near the kitchen ☕️
2. Family Living Room - 2nd Floor

Open space and semi outdoor kitchen.
Because our house is not spacious, from the beginning the kitchen area was designed to be semi-outdoor, so that air circulation is good especially when cooking and to give a spacious impression to this area.
I chose a neutral color theme, white and wood.

Open Space.
1st floor of casadirio, we apply an open space system in the living room and kitchen. When cooking, our living room is not so exposed to the smell of kitchen smoke because in our kitchen there are many open windows, so the air circulation goes directly to the back of our house. Then in the living room area we are also connected to the side garden patio. So, our house has a lot of air circulation.

Hi, meet again with the Open Space kitchen & dining area at @first21.haus which is directly connected to our Living room. This time with a night vibes shot, this is the atmosphere of a cloudy and rainy night all day accompanying our evening activities.
Because without a partition, the room feels more spacious for mobility to cook and eat at the dining table while watching a movie on TV. It is also freer to arrange the interior and decoration as you wish. And to make it even more spacious, there is a sliding door of aluminum glass with a wood motif that leads to the back garden, this really helps air circulation when cooking and cross ventilation from front to back. However, when it rains like this, we close the sliding door so that it doesn't splash in.
