Living room with a Modern Industrial touch.
De Mahendra's house carries a Modern Industrial concept, one of which is applied to the Living Room. My husband and I chose this style because it suits my husband's wishes, who likes neutral colors like black, while I prefer things that are more simple and modern with woody accents but still have a clean look.
Modern elements are supported by the choice of sofas and carpets with abstract motifs. The floor lamp is made of aluminum metal, the side table with a touch of black represents an industrial impression.
Plus wall decorations and wall panels with wood nuances sweeten this living room.
The two styles are combined into one, added with wooden accents, making the house still feel industrial but clean and comfortable.

When we first moved into this house, it felt like this was our dream house.. but as time goes by.. it's called human being, there can be dissatisfaction 🤭 feeling that the room is not big, or feeling that the facade is too old-fashioned, etc. etc.
But from everything, my husband and I feel very comfortable living in this house.. because our house is in the middle of the city and this is what made us find this house (the area), close to the children's school, mall, hospital, etc.

The initial style of our facade actually refers to the Japanesedi design which was really popular when we were renovating our house, we also fancied the one with a sharper model rather than a square for some reason. Even though here and there we feel that it's not really Japanese style, in the end our house is turning towards midcentury modern🤔
For the color of the facade, we didn't want anything strange, we immediately chose white with a touch of black and wood, so that it gives a simple impression and makes people not imagine what's inside🤣 turns out it's maximalist, not minimalist haha

Having two children who don't want to study in the same room, as a result a study table is placed in the front of the room under the stairs, so studying can be more concentrated without distractions.
This area is exposed to morning sunlight until around 11:30, the air circulation is very good, not humid, the study table has warm wooden accents decorated with artificial plants and hanging macrame, making children study calmly.
