This house is a developer's built-in house, where usually the developer's built-in house does not have a kitchen area. So during the renovation process we added a kitchen area at the back of the house assisted by contractor services. The size of the dining & kitchen area is around 3 x 4 m. With the tiny house that we have, of course we also apply the open plan concept so that the house looks more spacious. Even though our house has an open plan concept, we had the idea of adding partitions between rooms, the aim was to give the impression of a nice separation between rooms. We looked for various kinds of inspiration for room dividers through the Pinterest platform and from several choices of divider models, we finally decided on a design like this. You can see on slide 3, we applied the inspiration we saw to our original residence. From Bat Nest to Room "with a view" The balcony area in this room used to be just a "toilet" for bats. Because the house is located near the road, the balcony area of this room gets dusty easily so it ends up being neglected. Seeing the beautiful view of the garden in front of the house where the trees are getting bigger, I feel it would be a shame if it wasn't used. Finally I decided to renovate this empty room with a balcony. With the help of my sister, who is an interior designer, Aisyah Hanani, I want to expand the room area by just dismantling this balcony area. The room which was initially dark, finally had 2 new openings made with large windows. One window maximizes the view of the front of the house, while the window on the side is for the AC service area. The position of the windows and layout of my room was helped by my sister who is an interior designer. However, unfortunately during the work there was a difference in wall thickness between the old room and the balcony. It can be seen from the line accents where the bedroom wall meets the balcony and on the top wall. Because smoothing the walls can take a lot of time, we ended up leaving the imperfections alone. The inspiration for this Mezzanine was obtained from Pinterest, then we gave it to the craftsman to make it exactly like the example we gave. A garden that changes its function from a wet garden to a dry garden. When we first built this house, we wanted a minimalist, tropical theme, so we agreed to create a wet garden with the addition of yellow frangipani plants in the style of a Balinese villa. But as time went by the mini grass often died, the walls and floors became moldy and the leaves often fell off, so we agreed to make a dry garden inspired by a video of a friend who also made a dry garden. Before being renovated into a prayer room, the 2x2.5m room might have previously been a storage room because it was completely closed. The walls and doors were dismantled, the floor was raised about 15cm, this became a prayer room because there wasn't one in this house yet. We also consider the environmental conditions of the house, the facade material, the size of the house, and the combination of colors for the facade is also very important to make it attractive. This open space kitchen with a window above the stove was built without the help of an architect and we were inspired by Instagram. We chose to have a window so that maximum light enters the kitchen and of course saves electricity. We also applied monochrome in this kitchen because we like the combination of black and white which is simple but still looks elegant. I deliberately made the open space to blend with another room without having a special partition, but I made a bar table so that this partition could function as a dining table. Rumah Duanama's kitchen with distinctive wood-colored lattice work as an accent with a combination of gray is the concept we chose to beautify this house's kitchen set. The choice of table top with white marble is very suitable for our kitchen. Apart from that, we also chose a white backsplash to match the table top.
