One of the wishes on the wish list when building a house is to provide a little land for a garden area. Gardens and plants are an inseparable unity. Plants are one component that I think is a 'must have' in a garden. Plants are useful for filtering the air to make it fresher, and can also relax the owner. We chose plants that are low maintenance, such as calathea lutea, peace lily, and ketapang ketapang, many of which were inspired by other home decor accounts that were much earlier in managing gardens. Apart from that, there are several tips that can be taken. For example, using paranet as a garden base before installing split stones to inhibit the growth of wild plants. It turns out that this tip really works after seeing that there is no growth of wild plants after 8 months of installation. Apart from that, many coffee shop-inspired garden benches are made at home so that it still feels healing even at home.

➖ Mini Garden Makeover
We use the mini garden area in front of the house, which is only 3x0.8 meters wide, for a dry garden so that it remains beautiful and has green plants that are easy to care for.
We lightly makeover the #IKEA decking that has started to look dull due to 5 years of use, with real teak decking that has been finished, so that it matches the theme of our house better.

Because there was a lot of controversy over the Ketapang Kencana tree which was originally planted in the central park, we finally replaced it with another plant. The room that we think is aesthetic is the kitchen room which is integrated with this small garden. Why can we call it aesthetic? Because here you can see the difference between two house concepts, namely Japandi and Industrial. Where these 2 concepts can blend beautifully. Japandi concept with vinyl touches and wooden interior. Meanwhile, Industrial has elements of stone, cement color and iron.

Mini garden behind the house.
Previously, our house was dark and gloomy, when renovating, we wanted to change the atmosphere of the house to make it brighter and fresher. This small garden behind the house is now our solution to add a source of light and oxygen.
Using synthetic grass for easy application & maintenance. There is also a multi-purpose room which is usually used for worship, study, sports or relaxing.
Because from the beginning I liked gardening, so I also put my previous plant collection here. It's a bit messy because it hasn't been neatly arranged, but looking at this garden, observing the growth of each plant is a pleasant relaxation every morning.

The characteristic of a bistro-style terrace in Paris is the use of a small round marble table paired with beautifully designed rattan chairs, usually placed facing the street to attract the attention of passing Parisians.
This time #rumahlimut will try to share the exterior of our house, namely the terrace.
The size of our terrace is 3x7 m with a 60x60 granite floor installed directly on ceramic tiles without dismantling the old floor to save money and time.
Still in the same area is the garden area which extends to the carport area.
Previously, this area was land where we planted grass and various trees, but because it did not grow well, the soil made the terrace area dirty if it was exposed to heavy rainwater.
Therefore, during the renovation, we decided to cover all areas of this land with natural stone templek with white grout accents.
We moved the plants to various pots arranged around the terrace.
This outdoor area is inspired by various 𝒑𝙖𝒕𝙞𝒐 in Europe, because we love their 𝙩𝒊𝙢𝒆𝙡𝒆𝙨𝒔, 𝒆𝙡𝒆𝙜𝒂𝙣𝒕 style, looks 𝒔𝙩𝒚𝙡𝒊𝙨𝒕 but still 𝒉𝙤𝒎𝙚𝒚.

To become a mini park like this, there are a lot of changes,
changes from creating this garden and determining which points will be filled with living plants.
there are before and after photos starting from making the L-shaped garden area,
then filled with cactus plants and rocks
the other side area is filled with squirrel tails and rocks too,
I really like the garden area like this (2nd slide) it looks fresher, but because of the stray cats that often play around here, the layout has finally been changed.
and it became a mini garden like now, using terrazzo ceramics and a live plant area only on one side near the roaster.
This open area is suitable for guests to relax.

One of the areas in Delasta House that was transformed with affordable materials is the back garden.
Generally, the back garden is designed by one main tree (mostly bonsai trees) which we know the price of one tree can be millions, then usually there are several companion plants to beautify the garden area which cost hundreds of thousands per plant. Not to mention the grass or small plants, which are cheap but need a lot so if the total is hundreds of thousands too.
Well, in Delasta House, the replacement for the bonsai tree is the Balinese pandan tree. This tree is free, aka there is no cost, because coincidentally in front of our house there is a Balinese pandan tree that is already very large, so we cut some of it to fill the garden area.
For the companion plants we use ice candle plants, and for the decoration I use white and black natural stones.
The total cost of making this back garden is less than 1 million (Rp. 928,000).

BACKYARD GARDEN
It feels incomplete if there is no healing space at home. Yup!! This is my favorite place in my home. Sometimes even at 3 am, time doesn't feel like it's flying so fast sitting or finishing my work here. I deliberately made this backyard garden with a semi-open roof, so when it rains I can enjoy every drop of water falling and the sound is very cozy. During the day, the bright sun can provide food for my favorite plants here. You can also have a picnic, it's really cozy here 😍
