This small garden measuring 5 meters x 1.5 meters is leftover land behind the developer's house which originally had no doors. Then we decided to install aluminum glass doors with wooden patterns and sliding to separate the outside area from the kitchen and dining room. Apart from using it as an open space for plants and rainwater absorption, we added a playground decoration for cats on the left side and as a laundry room for drying on the right side which we provided with a roaster barrier. The goal is so that it is not exposed directly from the dining room. The top is left open to allow air circulation. Then added another roaster on top of the wall and paranet half of the garden roof to keep the plants shaded, not exposed to direct sunlight but still getting enough light and air... sometimes I also put a clean chair and relax enjoying the greenery with Lulu & Popo 🐾

The back garden is a place where children like to play, making it as comfortable as possible. So when their parents are chatting while having snacks, the children usually join in and play. Sometimes playing with water balloons, jumping around, often playing throwing stones🫣

Small garden behind the house.
Since the back area of the house has been eaten up by buildings, I still insist on having a green area so that it looks fresh every morning when I open the door. It turns out that even a super narrow area can be worked around.

BACKYARD GARDEN
It feels incomplete if there is no healing space at home. Yup!! This is my favorite place in my home. Sometimes even at 3 am, time doesn't feel like it's flying so fast sitting or finishing my work here. I deliberately made this backyard garden with a semi-open roof, so when it rains I can enjoy every drop of water falling and the sound is very cozy. During the day, the bright sun can provide food for my favorite plants here. You can also have a picnic, it's really cozy here 😍

The areas in the house have been photographed from various angles. However, some of these photos have more aesthetic functions. The first is a bougainvillea bonsai in the front area highlighted by a spot light. This view can be seen at night. Second, there is a handmade painting from a craftsman in Bali. One of my favorites in the house after the family photo collage. The lighting that is directed at the painting also uses downlights. The third and fourth photos are the back garden of the house with its Gazebo (the family's favorite room to relax in the afternoon). A little sneak peek of the garden area of the house that I am still slowly fixing 🍃
Because the space is not too wide, I try to keep every corner functional and pleasing to the eye. This area is directly connected to the laundry room, so it also serves as a light relaxing spot in the afternoon.

The view of my backyard garden 🌱✨
I designed this garden myself with a minimalist concept, there is a garden bench to sit and relax in the afternoon or evening.
I installed wall lights and spotlights so they can be turned on at night. The plants are also low maintenance, from mini elephant grass, red hanjuang, mother-in-law's tongue, etc..

Have you ever seen my living room? Well, this is the dining spot that is often seen from a distance. If you take a close up, this is what it looks like. This is very cozy, homey and believe me, if you visit my house, this spot is the most favorite for guests to take a picture. Why? Because this semi-outdoor dining room is directly connected to the backyard garden, the lush green plants make this spot even more beautiful 💚

Backyard Garden Inspiration
Harvi's most favorite corner of the house, even though the garden is tiny, the play of colors and textured walls make the corner that was originally just for drying clothes more than just for drying clothes.
It doesn't get rained on during the rainy season and doesn't dry out during the dry season because we added a Sliding Canopy that is more flexible to open and close.

M&A House has a small garden in the back that can be used to dry clothes. We use a clothesline attached to the wall that can be folded, so it remains aesthetic.
In the front part of our small garden, it can be used to sit and relax in the afternoon by using a flower bed so that the front area still looks spacious. 🥹💓
