When you look at the asymmetrical land shape of this house with a small land area of 44m2 and also the location is in a flood area as high as an adult's calf, wow... there are several land problems that I can't solve myself because I don't have architectural knowledge. Finally, we decided to use the services of an architect from XOA Design to solve the problem. And we think it was a very correct decision.
The split level concept suggested by XOA Design has so far been very effective for solving floods. The front terrace is made of stairs that rise about 1.5m to prevent flooding, then the inside goes down 90cm, so that the surface of the 1st floor of this house is still above the flood line, safe ๐๐ปโบ๏ธ
The open space concept is very suitable for small land to make it look more spacious.

This is the facade of Tiny House Living High. Because it is located in an alley, we wanted a facade with a simple shape but still modern.
Using gray niro granite for the facade, perforated metal and tempered glass give a modern impression.

Tips for getting around a small space to make it seem more spacious and comfortable to live in.
Slide 2. Split level & open space. Different dimensions will give a dynamic impression, not boring and spacious.
Slide 3. Bright colored walls and a harmonious color combination. Can there be other colors? That's absolutely fine, adjust it to the character of the occupants, choose several items with a combination of other colors as sweeteners so it's not monotonous.
Slide 4. Use open shelves so that the furniture doesn't feel bulky. Don't forget to make wide windows or glass doors so that sunlight enters to illuminate the room.

Tiny House Living High is in an alley, but has a strategic location in the middle of the city. The land area of 44m does not prevent us from having a lot of space. We built this house according to our needs and characteristics. Our favorite room is of course the living room which is integrated with the kitchen and dining room. All the residents mingle in this room, chatting with each other, laughing, telling stories about their days.

The working area is limited in size but can be a place for ideas to be expressed. There are turntables and reed diffusers to uplift the mood, terrariums and green plants to make it fresher, soft chairs and mousepads are also important to add comfort to work.

It's a bit unique because at the beginning we didn't decide on any theme for #tinyhouselivinghigh. We design furniture that we like, we decorate it with prints that spark joy. And the more the house is filled, the more we realize that the direction of the design theme in our house is #midcenturyjapanese. Basically it's mid century but Japanese inspired.
This theme is really felt on the 1st floor area, namely the open space for the living room, dining room, kitchen & foyer.

Kitchen is the soul of #tinyhouselivinghigh. One of the areas that had to be ready before we moved into this house. Also a place where wives and husbands work together to make heavy meals or just snacks, a favorite room for husbands who love to eat hehe.

The kitchen and dining room in my house are in the same room. My kitchen has 2 types of storage: open shelves and closed shelves. Closed shelves are usually used to store food ingredients, lunch boxes, cooking utensils, lots of details that need to be covered using closed tar shelves.
There are also open shelves. As a place to store home appliances that are frequently used so that it is easier to take things, it also looks aesthetic because it can be used as a place for decorative displays or plants.
