A living room filled with natural light The designers designed numerous north-facing windows to minimize the need for light except at night. ┈┈┈ Our first home Delivered in July 2023. The plan to build a house began about six years ago, when we first began imagining a "vintage furniture museum"—a place where the furniture would take center stage, a little different from a hotel-like feel. We focused on the vintage furniture we'd collected while living in an apartment. The solid wood flooring was stained dark brown to match the furniture we'd collected, the wallpaper was painted to create a textured look when light hit it, and the color was white to highlight the furniture. Since lounging around rather than sitting on the sofa suits our home, we requested a downstairs living space. The kitchen was hidden to allow the furniture to take center stage, and a utility room was created...
