A hidden kitchen for enjoying personal time An island would be nice and spacious, but being visible would have led to more and more details, which would have significantly increased costs. And most importantly, I wanted to hide the kitchen-like appliances and make the living room the focal point of the second floor. The utility room, where the appliances are kept, is a place to enjoy a little alone time, even when the family is around, or sneak in a snack. lol Since the living room is modern, I use this space to display a variety of things I like. I'd like to eventually put a coffee machine in there and make it like a little cafe.
