I chose a vintage dining table and chairs because I thought they would get scratched and dirty easily while my children are still small.

One of the disadvantages of a second-floor living room is that the indoor temperature tends to rise, but by installing skylights, air can be exchanged and a breeze can pass through. It is bright enough that no electricity is needed during the day, and opening the windows lets in a pleasant blue sky. The reciprocal structure creates an open space with no pillars.
