Hello, everyone! I’m so excited to show you around my little space. This is my first time living alone, and I’ve been having a blast making this place feel like me. I live in a super cozy 285 sq ft loft studio. It’s in an older building, but when I was looking for a place, I really wanted something with a great location, enough room to play around with different furniture layouts, and enough space to hold all my stuff. Our apartment was built in 1991, so it has a bit of an old-school layout—our bedroom is larger than the living room, the other rooms are quite small, and one of the tiny bedrooms even has a built-in closet. Inside a maximalist but easy going apartment in Brooklyn, New York
I designed with my own personal comfort and desire in mind, rather than the latest trend or fad. I am a single woman in her thirties living in Brooklyn, NY. I’m a communications exec and love to cook, read, and watch interesting foreign (non-American) content on Netflix (telenovelas and K-dramas are my favorite)! I moved into my current apartment in early 2022 after living with a roommate during COVID. Originally, I was looking for a one-bedroom with a washer/dryer (those who live in NYC understand how rare it is to find one in-unit!) and was pleasantly surprised to find a 2-bedroom apartment in my budget! I use the second bedroom as an office/gym (with a Peloton that sadly is collecting dust).
