Inside a Midcentury marvel in Washington D.C built in the 1960sAs an antique enthusiast, I'm passionate about collecting vintage furniture, lighting, and chairs.Hi, I'm Olivia (Instagram: @oliviahomehome). I live in a 1965 Mid-century house near Washington, D.C. with my family of three. We've had all kinds of homes – apartments, condos, townhouses – while raising our 9-year-old.Two years ago, we moved to this beautiful two-story house, which is located in a small and peaceful neighborhood full of Mid-century style homes. We wanted a house with lots of windows and rooms where we could spend a lot of time with our child, and this one had it all.oliviahome·Saved 2.1K·2024.01.01
🏠Inside a 925 Sq Ft Pastel-Filled Eclectic Loft Styled With DIY TouchesHi! I’m Witty—currently in my third year of living on my own. I’ve always been a homebody at heart, so it didn’t take long for me to start personalizing my space. One quiet afternoon about five years ago, while sitting at home, it hit me: If I’m spending so much time here, shouldn’t this space feel more like me?
That same day, I picked up a bucket of paint and started painting a few pieces of furniture, and I’ve been slowly shaping my home ever since. I’m naturally drawn to vibrant, gem-like colors of fruits, flowers, and minerals, and I’ve filled this home with colors that make me feel good.
My place is a loft-style studio, with everyday living happening on the lower level and a growing hobby zone upstairs. It’s compact, but full of life.
Living Room
This is the view from the loft. The ceiling height makes the whole space feel more open and bright—it's what sold me on the place. Inside Modern home in San Francisco where minimalism meets organic warmthHome is not just a place, it's a feeling – a feeling of comfort, happiness, and love that makes every moment special.Hi, I'm Rose (Instagram: @rosekimis.com), a brand designer based in San Francisco, USA. My husband and I have been married for 3 years, and we enjoy spending time together at home – both having quality time and quarreling. With remote work extended for more than 6 months, I'm more grateful for our home, and I'm very passionate about home decor while finding ways to make it a more cheerful place. Our two-story townhouse-style apartment is unique in that there's a master bedroom, study, and two bathrooms on the first floor and a living room, kitchen, and guest bathroom on the second. At first, I was worried about this unconventional layout, but after living here, I've found it quite convenient and nice. It has a clear separation between the living and resting spaces.oeeim·Saved 15·2024.01.02
Inside a cozy 820 sq ft nest in San FranciscoMy partner and I have been living in a cozy 820 sq ft condo in San Francisco for the past 10 years. We're situated on the top floor of a 4-story building, overlooking a beautiful central courtyard. One of the things I love most about our place is how conveniently located it is. We have easy access to the Muni T line, which not only takes me directly to work, but also provides a direct route to Chinatown.
When it comes to my design style, it's all about creating a space that feels like home to me. I love creating my own decor pieces and artwork, which allows me to express my personal style and vision. I'm a bit of a mix between an extrovert and an introvert, so while I love to entertain and have guests over, my home is still my sanctuary. I choose pieces that have their own stories and personal meaning, rather than just following a particular design style or era. I tend to gravitate towards warm and earthy tones with deep hues. These colors create a sense of comfort and relaxation, perfect for unwinding after a long day. I also enjoy incorporating elements like ambient lighting, textural fabrics, and natural elements, like wood and plants.
