Inline japandi kitchen Hi online neighbors, don't ever get bored looking at my in-line kitchen. because it's in line so it's more or less like this. My in-line kitchen is attached to the wall at the back of the house. Why ? because I want to maximize the middle side of the house to be used as a dining room. and for lighting in my kitchen, this is very sufficient, in the morning and afternoon I don't need to provide lighting from lamps, because sunlight will come in from the skylight that I made above the laundry room and this is enough to brighten up my kitchen area. For air circulation, because my house is attached to the right, front and back of the neighbor, so I made a metal door near the skylight so that air can come in and out from there. There aren't too many choices of furniture in the in-line kitchen either. To store electronic equipment and spices, I use an Ivar shelf made of wood. Apart from being minimalist, this shelf also adds a Japanese impression. This is the end result of a kitchen that I never thought would be like this. So all of this comes from a mistake when making the layout, understandably because I made it myself😂 My heart's intention is to have a garden next to the kitchen, a wet garden without a canopy. but it turns out that in reality, the rainwater poured in and wet most of the kitchen area. even entering the TV room area. Finally, this garden was converted into a dining table area, by adding a canopy and transparent fiber so that it was safe from rain but light could still enter. When we first surveyed to see the house we were going to rent, the kitchen was what made us fall in love with this house. The kitchen set, shelves, sink, washing machine & refrigerator were already provided by this house. We didn't change anything in this kitchen area, we just decorated it according to what we wanted and for the decoration itself, to be honest, there was no special theme, we just decorated it with some plates, glasses that we had and mixed it with knick knacks, books, and climbing plants to add a comfortable and homey impression 😊 In the dining area, we also only decorated a little and didn't play too much with many colors on the tables and chairs that we used. And the selection of dining chairs, we deliberately chose chairs that were not the same as each other. Hello! This is the entire 1st floor of Het Huis. With an elongated building shape, we tried to apply the open space concept. Aka plek ketumplek all in one. Why? First, because an 'open' house is one of our dream houses. I really like seeing and staying in Airbnb houses with an open space concept. I was also inspired by rented houses in Indonesia to be honest 😊 Second, because the building area is not too big, which is 3.5x7.5m. If it is partitioned, it will look cramped, right? Well, the size is only that much, I want everything to be there, so voila, this room was formed. There are still third, fourth, fifth, etc. etc., but it will be too long like a novel. In the living room, we raised the ceiling height by 30cm higher than usual to create a sense of openness even without an atrium.
