After I graduated from Rutgers University and wanted to pursue my master's, I chose Teachers College, Columbia; and since I was already in New York, I decided to stay – and here I am, fifteen years later! I currently live in Hell's Kitchen, and it's perfect for me. The location is central to everything, and close to my friends, local bars, and great restaurants.I'm living in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate. It's a 600 sq. ft. brick-walled walk-up. It's nestled on top of a popular gay bar, but I don't hear any of the noise. The avenue can be busy sometimes, but my windows do a great job of keeping out the sound. I'm renting right now, and I've been here for the last three years. The rent is currently $3200 per month, and it's split between my roommate and me.
