Top Home Tours This Week Featuring Stool
Inside a 1029 sq ft condo in Seattle embracing the 'lived-in' lookAs first-time buyers, we had to make some sacrifices due to the competitive real estate market. I wish that the bathroom was bigger or that we had more than one, and a yard would have been much welcomed. However, despite these minor cons, this condo is almost perfect for us. What I love most about it is that it's a top-floor unit, and the living room has super high ceilings. The fact that the condo faces southwest means we get to enjoy lots of natural light – especially on the rare sunny days – and some truly breathtaking sunsets.
As the owner of this condo, I knew that I had the luxury of taking my time with the decorating process. I could let my creativity run wild and incorporate unique custom pieces, something that wasn't possible with previous rentals. When it came to choosing decor, I made sure to only select items that I absolutely love – after all, these pieces will be with me for a long time, and I'll be seeing them every single day. Also, as someone who works primarily from home, having a beautifully decorated home is essential to me.
My goal was to create a home, not just a house. I wanted to infuse my personality and style into every corner of the interior. That's why I added personal touches like family photos and other knick-knacks throughout the home. It may not entirely fit the aesthetic, but it brings me so much happiness to see images of my dogs and loved ones every day. In the end, what truly makes a house a home are all the personal touches that reflect who you are and what you love.
