A throwback to my favorite bedroom that I’ve had in my adult life. This was in the apartment that I had previous to my current one. This bedroom was big in contrast to my current one and my favorite feature was the balcony. I could either lay in my bed which was right beside the balcony with the sliding door open or sit or lay on my lounger out there. It was upstairs too. So it was semi-private because I was above ground level. My live palm plant made this area of my bedroom look somewhat like a tropical relaxation spot. I had nice ambient string lights too and a lovely old, thrifted birdcage hanging. Oh, and a cactus out there too! I loved to relax in the warm summer air that I let in. I really miss that bedroom.

Spot for afternoon coffee and morning sunbathing. This is the back terrace balcony of the house. Since my house faces west, it gets very hot in the afternoon. So I had the idea of making a balcony at the back. The downside is that if it rains, you have to quickly put the sofa cushions in, because the ones I use are not waterproof. The first picture isn’t anything interesting to look at but it shows my porch which I think I will style a bit soon. The second picture shows my former balcony viewing it from the inside of my bedroom. There wasn’t much to it but the string lights and the birdcage gave it a cozy ambiance.

It's a warm day that makes you feel spring is coming. I cleaned up the tree and arranged a table in its place! I put a monstera on the desk ◡̈ When the table was in the middle of the window, the sunlight came in so much that I had to close the curtains and sit, but when I put it on the wall, less light came in and it's nice🦦

Happy July 4th! Beach trips are our usual tradition, but with an 8 month old, travel felt a bit ambitious this year 😅 So we brought the beach to our backyard instead, and it was perfect! 𝑹𝙤𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙤𝒑 as a relaxing area. 𝑹𝙤𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙤𝒑 #rumahlimut is located on the 3rd floor. The area is only 10m x 3.17m and is located along the 𝒄𝙖𝒓𝙥𝒐𝙧𝒕 & kitchen area on the floor. 1 or along the parlor & service area 2nd floor The stairs leading to #𝒓𝙤𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙤𝒑 are made of cast cement painted black and white with a glass skylight roof. Floor #𝒓𝙤𝒐𝙛𝒕𝙤𝒑 was chosen using black and white ceramic chess/harlequin motifs to be consistent with the theme of the ground floor terrace. In this area we installed a canopy made of iron with a classic design. For the seating area, we made a 𝙛𝒍𝙤𝒂𝙩𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝒃𝙚𝒏𝙘𝒉 made of concrete with two electrical sockets with protective cover from weather and rain. As a relaxing area, in the canopy area we have prepared a 𝒑𝙪𝒍𝙡 𝙤𝒖𝙩 𝙥𝒊𝙘𝒏𝙞𝒄 𝒄𝙝𝒂𝙞𝒓𝙨 made of teak wood with white ducco paint. Some accessories to beautify this area, we added heat-resistant hanging flower plants, bougainvillea flower pots & the addition of #𝒍𝙞𝒈𝙝𝒕 𝒔𝙩𝒓𝙞𝒏𝙜𝒔 which makes the atmosphere more romantic in the afternoon approaching night in this area.
