We put the most effort into the kitchen when we moved in. Since my job is cooking and I mostly eat at home, the kitchen space is small, so we came up with several solutions to solve that problem and decided to put an island. However, the existing islands were over 500 wide, so we couldn't put one in. ㅜㅜ.. So we looked for a home bar, but this had another problem. Since home bars are often attached to the wall, the back is not finished, so the brown plywood is exposed. So we bought foam board and sheet metal from Daiso to cover it up. But even though I attached it neatly without any air bubbles, after about a month? A few air bubbles started to form? I was going to make holes in the air bubbles and press them with a squeegee, but I was worried that the foam board might have some bad ingredients that were causing the air bubbles, so I just left it alone. ㅜㅜㅎㅎ Our product is 400x1200, and this seems to be the maximum. I put a partition on the island because I didn't want to see the sink when I sit at the table. That way, when I sit at the table, I can only see the glass and not the sink, which is nice. ㅎㅎ I was wondering what to do with the space next to the refrigerator, so I searched for a niche storage unit and measured the dimensions, and it fit perfectly!! You should definitely do this.. Your quality of life will change. ^^ I put a chair on one side of the dining table and a bench storage unit on the other. Since the house structure doesn't have enough storage space, I'm more satisfied with the storage capacity than I thought. The recessed light on the ceiling can be easily removed, so I replaced it with a shade light. I recommend doing this because there's a big difference between doing it and not doing it!! Oh! And I installed indirect lighting under the sink cabinet. If you do this, you don't have to turn on the ceiling light, and the sink area is much brighter than when the ceiling light is on. And above all, it's pretty^^.. You can install it by just screwing in 3~4 small screws, so I recommend it. While planning this, I was worried that it might be inconvenient to move around and that the gap between the island and the existing sink might be too narrow, but the result is very satisfying!! There is no problem passing by like in the last picture, and the sink side and the door open well and there is no inconvenience at all in using it. ㅎㅎ Every time someone comes to my house, they are all amazed and ask how I thought of this. #HappyHouse #행복주택36형 #아일랜드 #주방 #신혼집 #인테리어
