#센킷리스트 #기록클럽 🦢 I once had a wish to go on a trip to Italy like the main character in the movie <Eat, Pray, Love>, and I achieved that wish last month. This week, I'll share some of the diary I wrote while watching the sunset at a cafe in Florence.... * - [On the top floor of Ospedale degli Innocenti] - In Florence, I realized that this trip was planned from my subconscious, wanting to place myself in as unfamiliar a place as possible. The reason I chose Italy as my first European destination was probably because Italy was the first place the main character in <Eat, Pray, Love> arrived at after leaving reality. The desire to experience liberation and a new world like the main character in the movie was embedded in all my decisions. .. - My attitude for this trip is to experience everything firsthand. I have to experience it myself to either hate it or love it. When things I don't know come up, I ask the person right in front of me instead of searching, and sometimes I just walk without a map, following my footsteps. - The first two days were more hate than love. I know that traveling isn't always great and that adaptation is painful, but it's not easy to stay calm when faced with small crises. I love Milan's urban atmosphere so much, but it didn't seem to welcome me, so maybe it felt like unrequited love? When I talked to my lover on the phone, I even whined that I wanted to go to Korea. But when I arrived in Florence, I felt a different vibe. The expressions on the faces of the people I met as soon as I got off the train were different. They were full of laughter, happiness, romance, and love. Even if I didn't have to be kind to them first, thanks to the kindness of this place, I already achieved my trip's purpose on the third day. This is what they mean when they say you have to experience it yourself to love or hate it! - The song I listened to the most throughout my trip was Big World. I keep playing it over and over again because it fits the moment when the unbelievable scenery unfolds before me. Now that I've seen and experienced so much in the big world, I'm looking forward to what kind of decisions I'll make and how I'll live...* And I'm grateful for being able to travel! I'll have to watch today's scene for a very long time until the sun sets and then go back. 2024. 05. 05
