[Happy B Day] It’s been a year since I started home baking. Baking, which I started because I wanted to spend my time alone at home more meaningfully, has now become my hobby and healing itself. Now, I can easily make even fairly difficult desserts. It’s truly a happy thing that I can learn and grow naturally without having to force myself to learn something. Isn’t that the power of a hobby? In fact, I’ve tried many different challenges in the name of self-development, such as Spanish, real estate, and programming. However, I’ve never felt any interest in learning through writing. It didn’t take me long to realize that I wasn’t interested. That’s why I know how valuable it is to be able to enjoy one field earnestly. The reason why baking is so great is because, unlike academic subjects where there are set answers, there are no right answers. There are only differences in taste. The type of flour, the strength of the whipping, the combination of ingredients, and these subtle differences affect the taste and appearance of the finished product. I enjoyed the process of comparing the tastes and finding my own taste, so I couldn't give up baking despite the rising cost of ingredients and my belly fat.
