Record Club Third Post📝 [Record] I like diaries and stationery, the demand for which has drastically decreased with the advent of smartphones. Is it because I can't forget the letters I exchanged with my friends when I was young and didn't have cell phones, and the good feelings I had when I decorated my diary together? I like the analog feel of writing squarely with a pencil on a pretty notebook. (I like LPs that have to be flipped over frequently rather than music that can be played endlessly, drip coffee rather than convenient capsule coffee, film photos rather than digital photos, and paper books rather than e-books.) I bought and used pretty diaries that I liked every year, but they were all different sizes and shapes, so they looked messy when I collected them. Then I started using Starbucks diaries, and they came out in the same size every year and were easy to use, so I settled on them. I've collected nine Starbucks diaries since 2016. I feel proud when I put them side by side on my bookshelf. My main records are transcriptions, diaries, thoughts that come to mind, and my children's growth diaries. Letters written frequently to family can also be considered records. (Since family letters are collected and stored at once.) The biggest reason I was able to keep records consistently is that there is no compulsion, and only I can see them. I don’t have to write well or write long just for myself. I can just write about my feelings honestly and without embellishment. The diary I wrote as homework in elementary school was compulsory and not only for me to see, but it still remains as a good feeling. When I think about why, it’s because I liked the comments my teacher wrote in one or two lines. I can’t forget the comment my teacher wrote in my diary about buying a doll with a flower-shaped face and arms and naming it ‘Flower.’ “What a pretty name. But ‘Flower’ is nice, but what about the Korean word ‘Kkotnim?’” I’m a kid who bought a flower doll with arms and legs in 5th grade and named it ‘Flower.’ (The name of the flower doll is ‘Kkot!’) Back then, everything in English seemed sophisticated and pretty. If I hadn't recorded that day, even as homework, my doll Flower might have been forgotten. The teacher's warm handwriting, and the innocence of my 5th grade days. There was also a crisis in my records. As I became a middle and high school student, I couldn't continue reading books and writing steadily because of the college entrance exams. (I was busy playing when I was a college student.) The parenting diary I had written on my blog after I became pregnant with my first child also stopped after my second child was born. It's never too late, so I plan to start again. The changes that records brought are clear. Through transcription, I was able to understand books more deeply, talk to my past self, and reflect and grow. I plan to write a 5-year diary that was recommended in a book I read recently. I want to expand the scope of my records and become a better reader and #기록클럽 #제이제이홈북   #홈카페 #주방 #주방인테리어 #테이블 #식탁 #원목테이블 #원형테이블 #플랜테리어 #격자창 #주방리모델링 #의자 #조명 #커피 #드립커피 #케멕스 #액자
