Chapter 4. My Home Cafe A home cafe run by a man who was a barista and a woman who worked in the cafe marketing department. Depending on the weather and our mood of the day, we can make almost any menu in our home cafe. From hand-drip coffee to variations with steamed milk or whipped cream, and now even drinks for kids. We have all the ingredients, from various powders to syrups. Hot or cold? We serve it to suit your taste. A few days ago, I bought several coffee beans for the first time in a while and did a blind taste test with my husband. We tasted coffee brewed with a hand-drip method and tried to guess which bean it was! Since each bean has its own unique taste, such as acidity, softness, or heavy taste, if it is a fresh bean that has been roasted well, you can find the characteristics and match them. We like beans from Brazil, Guatemala, and Kenya that have little acidity. They are also the most common flavors for use in home cafes. Each roasting shop sells a variety of beans blended slightly differently, so if you check which beans are in it, you can buy the ones that suit your taste. What used to be work has now become a hobby for couples and is enjoyable. Since it is the focal point of our kitchen, it is also fun to choose props and cups. There are so many pretty cups in the world! This home cafe has become even more cozy thanks to a small light I recently bought. When I make drinks and bake bread together with my husband on the weekends to prepare brunch, I recall fond memories of working together at a cafe 15 years ago.
