Record Club Fifth Article📝 [Creation] Didn't they say it's the pain of creation? It's easy to imagine artists staying up all night, holding their heads with both hands, in pain. However, this doesn't apply to the world of children. It's clear that there's a magic hat in the heads of children that constantly spits out ideas to create every day. While reading a book, playing the piano, playing, talking, or eating, an exclamation mark suddenly appears above their heads, and they fall into the world of creation with their eyes sparkling. Children started making books early on, as if it were a given. They've already made dozens of books by folding A4 paper in half. (There are quite a few unfinished works, too.) Little writers constantly create without being told to, and they seem to get inspiration from various places in their lives. Second, when Jisoo was in kindergarten, she loved the carbonara from the pasta restaurant in front of our house so much that she would always make a book on the day she came back, but one day, she was shocked to see the pasta restaurant she had visited for the first time in a long time being demolished. Jisoo shed tears on the spot. She came home and made a book full of tears saying goodbye to the pasta restaurant. It was Jisoo’s first series. (Forced to finish) My eldest, Jiwoo, who is now in the fourth grade, not only likes to write books, but also likes to write scripts for plays and musicals, so she even performed a creative performance in front of Santa Claus who came to our house last Christmas. On my birthday, she makes me a love book filled with words and pictures, and I don’t think I’ll ever receive a more touching gift. A one-of-a-kind book gift with carefully pressed letters, a picture that looks just like me, and a warm color background. It’s my treasure. There’s no hesitation in the children’s hands, whether they’re writing or drawing. Their small hands move forward without hesitation as they think. An age where imperfect protruding lines and misspellings are infinitely lovable. When I draw and play with my children, I go back to my childhood and write and draw innocently. The line from the movie <Inside Out 2>, “I guess that’s what it means to be an adult. Joy diminishes.”, was deeply engraved in my heart. When my mother comes to visit my house, she often says, “Thanks to Jiwoo Jisoo, I laugh a lot.” I feel that it’s not wrong to say that there are more things to laugh about when you have children. The joy that had diminished as an adult has grown bigger than ever thanks to my children. I learn consistency from my children who do creative work every day. For children, creation is not pain, but fun play and joy. My job is to collect my children’s creative works.
