When it comes to lighting, of course I prefer to use small lamps rather than overhead lights to illuminate the room because the room feels more comfortable than using overhead lighting which seems stiff. Since the central room is an open space, lots of lights are needed to fill the space so that it looks more dynamic and not flat. If Troye Sivan says, you have to make a "soup of light" 😁 So that it's not monotonous, I combine the use of pendant lights, desk lamps, and even rechargeable LED lights that seem built in but not rigid.
