Painting, sewing, knitting, rattan... When I think about it, I think I like making things. I wish I had a basket to put on my desk, and a handbag that I can easily hang on my wrist when I go shopping and push the cart, and I like making and using useful items that fit me perfectly. Some people might say that buying things is better when you consider the time and effort it takes to make them, but the process is also healing. And if I had only considered money and time, I wouldn't have even started. For me, my husband gave up a room entirely for my hobby. When I said I wanted a large table, he made one, and my husband and I made a small home cafe on top, and a storage cabinet with enough depth to hold items. And when the plants settled in here, my dream hobby room was complete.
