There were a few things that changed as the puppy got older. First, he became less interested in toys, so he didn't respond much even when I threw him a new toy. In the past, he would wag his tail and come running whenever I made a squeaking sound with a toy in front of him, but now he just stares at me, which I sometimes regret. So these days, I put toys on Tori's stomach and play with him for no reason, but I guess I can't help feeling regretful. Second, unlike before when he was strong, his leg joints have weakened due to muscle loss, so a rug or dog stairs are essential next to the bed to prevent further strain. Sometimes, when I take Tori to his parents' house, he stops, takes a deep breath, and jumps courageously on the sofa where he used to jump excitedly for 7 years. Third, skin tumors are growing on Tori's skin in various sizes, and they are growing here and there, so I have to be careful not to get hurt. It wasn't recently, but I remember going to the hospital twice for a month because a wart that started growing on Tori's forehead started to bleed like an infection. Of course, it wasn't a big procedure, but it was in a place where I could scratch it with my fingernails at any time, and if bacteria got into the bleeding area, it could cause something bigger, so I think I watched it more closely than usual. It's true that puppies are handled more when they're older than when they were puppies, so I think the sense of responsibility is heavier. Still, since we've been together for a long time, I've become more affectionate these days, so I'm taking various nutritional supplements to prevent them from getting sick more, and just like me who takes nutritional supplements as a must in my 30s, I'm taking nutritional supplements for Tori as well. When I saw Tori like it because he thought it was a snack, I thought I should've taken care of it a few years ago.
