08. Food of the Mind I have always had an ideal type of smart person, and I think it is because I have a strong desire for knowledge. Of course, my knowledge is generally broad and shallow, so it lacks depth. That is why I admire people who read a lot of books, but I think it is because I like learning through videos more than books. Recently, my brain has been stuffed with shorts, so I have felt that my language skills have deteriorated significantly, so I have been reading various books as I am drawn to them. I think I felt a sense of crisis about the level of words I usually use… Anyway, that is why I am into collecting books these days. I used to read them often as e-books, but now I read them all once and never read them again, so I am buying them in paper form these days. I think it is good to collect them in paper form like this because I can pick them up and reread the parts I marked. Maybe it's because I'm getting older. When I was younger, I didn't like reading books, but now I enjoy it quite a bit. I wish I had read them more often. Right now, I don't have a bookshelf at home, so I'm just piling them up on the floor and collecting them.
