10 Oval Plates Recommended by Bowl Lovers🍽️ #Plating Essentials #오벌플레이트 #그릇수집가 I have a hobby of collecting bowls. I naturally became interested in plating and started to like bowls more. I have various bowls ranging from vintage bowls that are 50~60 years old to lettered bowls, but my favorite bowl among them is the oval plate. The oval bowl itself has a pretty shape and goes well with any food, so I use it the most. I'll introduce a few of the oval plates I have! 1️⃣ Tuckstone Reno Vegetable Boat Plate As the name suggests, this is the plate I use the most as a salad plate. It's deep, so the word boat fits it well, and it's perfect for salads and fried rice for 1-2 people. It's a luxurious American brand with a neat cream white color and weight. 2️⃣ Samedi Mare Oval Plate This is my first lettering plate, Samedi. Made in Korea with a Parisian feel! It's a Korean product. Isn't the blue lettering so pretty? Even if you simply put a piece of bread or a cookie on it, the lettering makes the plating stand out, and it's a plate that I love that goes well with both pasta and salad. 3️⃣ Tuckstone Green Bay Oval Plate The American brand Tuckstone is quite heavy. It's a plate that's often used in restaurants, and I have various tableware such as ovals, circles, and deeps, so it's a product with high usability. This is the plate I use the most when I want to give a unified feeling at a home party. The two green lines are neat and stand out, so it's a plate that goes well with both Korean and Western food. 4️⃣ Momer Weekend Oval Plate This is the Momer Weekend made in Korea that stands out with its gorgeous colors. I liked the unique oval shape and colorful lettering, so I finally got it. The size is about 1 serving, and the depth is between flat and deep, so it is recommended for not only salads but also French toast and other foods with syrup or sauce. 5️⃣ 15-hole Atelier Oval Plate This is a made-in-Korea product with a neat red line. The red point makes the dish stand out even more, making it a magical plate that goes well with any food, whether it be Korean, Western, or snack food. It is enough to hold 2 servings, and it is heavy, so it makes the dish look even more luxurious. 6️⃣ Shenango Vintage Oval Plate I will introduce you to a vintage plate from an American brand. This is a vintage product that I bought in good condition, even though it is over 50 years old. Can the green-gray-red lines go together so well? It is also quite large, so it is enough to hold brunch, pasta, and other one-plate dishes. This is one of my favorite plates. 7️⃣ Polbasal Green Line Oval Plate Polbasal is a Spanish product. It is a sturdy plate that is widely used in hotels, cafes, and restaurants. It is lighter than Tuckstone, and while Tuckstone is cream-ivory, Polbasal has a clean porcelain base in white. Polbasal comes in green, red, and blue (I think there are other colors recently) and has a unique plate shape with a long side and a handle. This is a Polbasal product that I recommend to those who are looking for a point in a clean white. 8️⃣ Japanese Porcelain Plate I was interested in plates with clean lines in the American and French styles, but recently I have come to like plates with a porcelain feel. (I guess I'm getting old..) It is a made-in-Japan oval porcelain plate, and the three lines each have a different feel, so it is a plate that is good to use together or separately. It is the most recently purchased plate, so I love it even more. It goes well with not only salads, pasta, and Western-style dishes, but also with oriental-style dishes such as rice bowls. It looks like a porcelain plate with a slightly rough surface, so I think it would go well with wood cutlery. 9️⃣ Polvasal Blue Line Oval Plate This is also a Spanish product. The blue line has a slightly different design from the green and red lines, and it comes in a round shape. I bought the M size, and the point is the bright blue color on a clean white background, so it's a plate that goes well with summer. I think it would be better if I bought several of the same lines and used them together. 🔟 Syracuse Oval Plate Syracuse, an American product, has various lines, but it's the most basic and most used. The creamy white color makes it look more delicious and warm when plated, so it's a plate that I often use for home parties or home brunches. I have both the round and oval ones, and they go well with any dish, so I highly recommend this brand to those who are buying dishes for the first time. There are various tableware from the US, Spain, Korea, Japan, etc., but There are many photos of plating with French sabre cutlery. Sabre cutlery, which has the fun of matching colors and moods, has the advantage of going well with any tableware, so I recommend it!
