Homesnap Studio ‘Minimum Light’ is a home snap brand that captures the seasons at home. I first met the owner of this brand, Ha Min oppa, in 2001 and have seen him work in various fields from magazine editor to gardener and photographer until he was in his 30s, so when I prepared for this job, I felt like I was finally wearing clothes that fit him perfectly. I thought that photography and storytelling were his greatest strengths and abilities. The artist, who is based in Jeonju but travels all over the country, specializes in #홈스냅 #돌스냅 that capture stories of children and families. You can tell just by looking at the results that he is not just leaving a few photos, but is constantly putting in effort to capture stories in the photos. When I first heard that they planned home snapshots, where they would take pictures of their pets in the most comfortable space, their ‘home’, to capture their regrets while taking pictures of their children in a standardized space in the studio, I suggested, ‘How about taking pictures of your pet family too?’ I always feel that my feelings as I raise Jjiro, who is now a little under 3 years old, are not much different from those of a parent. Although I didn’t give birth to him because of pain, the more time we spend together, the more he resembles me, the more I want to give him only good things, and the countless memories I want to remember for a long time. If parents want to capture their children growing up, then I think it would be meaningful to capture the growth process of my pet family, whose life is shorter than a human’s, because I want to do something similar. I knew that he was a photographer who liked cats better than dogs and cats better than being alone, but he responded positively to my suggestion, and I ended up taking pictures of my first pet furniture with Jjiro. Jjiro is a quiet and gentle dog among dogs, so he goes to restaurants and travels with me often. However, on days when I go to a studio far away and take pictures at a set time, I sometimes get confused as to whether this is for me or for Jjiro, and I feel sorry more than once. However, these are natural pictures taken leisurely after becoming close enough to Jjiro in the place he feels most comfortable in, ‘home.’ I thought that even dogs who are sensitive and shy, as well as cats who have difficulty going outside, could easily create memories. In addition, it was a great record because it beautifully captured the mood of every corner of the house of the companion who lives with Jjiro. Above all, it was a natural moment in the house where I didn’t have to shout ‘Jjiro- look here!’ by mobilizing all the snacks and toys to draw attention forward. It was a very meaningful shoot just to be able to capture Jjiro’s daily life without artificiality. Of course, it was strange and awkward to be photographed in a bunch of plain pajamas, but I liked it even more because I thought it was the minimum device for the most comfortable space and moment. Thanks to Jjiro, who approached the writer without any shyness and pretended to be happy as soon as he saw me, I was able to open my heart and start filming more quickly, but the writer took his time sketching and pressing the shutter without feeling rushed for filming time. He also shared various stories about his recent activities and left me with a lot of natural, undirected daily cuts of Jjiro, so it felt like he had captured the daily life of Ji-eun's family with a good camera and great composition.🌿 While filming with Jjiro, Ha-min oppa said something like this. "You're going to get married late." When I asked why, he said that since I already have a strong family called Jjiro, it would be difficult for me to want to get married in a hurry. It's already been 6 years since I came to Seoul, and it's been a long time since I left home, but thanks to this small, mute child, I was able to forget the loneliness and homesickness that I sometimes feel for a long time. Even when I go to the market, go for a walk, or go on a trip, my younger brother Jjiro is by my side, so I have a precious family member. I am grateful that I can capture our family’s precious moments. During the shoot, the photographer took care of Jjiro to make sure he was not tired or having a hard time, so we had time to rest here and there. I highly recommend this home snap shoot that takes care of even the smallest details. 🩵 Our Jjirong fell asleep comfortably without any protection while we were shooting. When I work from home, I often wanted to capture moments with Jjiro who came to me to play and hug me, and through this shoot, I was able to capture Jjiro’s usual work at home. 🤍. After finishing the shoot at home, I went to Anyangcheon with Jjiro for a walk and captured a few shots. Because they become invincible and wild when they go for a walk, there are no pictures that are as calm as at home, but despite that, it was an unforgettable time because we were able to capture memories of the walks we often take together🐶🐾 After a leisurely and leisurely shoot of about 2 hours, they sent us about 400 original photos. These days, it is quite expensive to buy original photos from a studio, so it is a great benefit(^^) And they sent me about 50 selected photos after editing them within 3 weeks, and there were so many photos with a warm and comfortable atmosphere without excessive editing that it took me several days just to choose which photos to upload.
