I think the joy of preparing a meal and eating it deliciously is great on the weekend. Even though I'm busy eating and cleaning up in a hurry on weekdays, I have time to set the table like this on the weekend. When I was newly married, before I developed a taste for housekeeping, I bought hot dishes that were said to be pretty.. But it was harder to set the table pretty than I thought🙄 This is the Syracuse dish that I ordered because it's all white but has neat details and I thought it would look good even if I mixed in some colorful items.
