The material feels like something between cotton and gauze? It's not too rough, but it doesn't feel soft either? It's a bit like that in the middle of summer, but it seems perfect for cool mornings and evenings like now. When I first got it, it smelled like new clothes (?), but it was a plain pattern without wrinkles like in the picture, and when I washed it, the wrinkles settled nicely. But it's really dusty! Even after washing and drying it, dust kept flying around. You have to dust off the blanket!
