Since the children sleep well, my husband and I can fully rest and have a comfortable evening. This was possible thanks to sleep training! Sleep training is solely the parents' choice. The reason I decided to do sleep training was I wanted to reduce the number of times I woke up in the middle of the night to breastfeed, and I started thinking that if the baby slept well and woke up at a set time, I could also live a planned life. ⠀ ✍🏻 When babies are around 2-3 months old, even babies who used to sleep well start to whine a little at night because of their sleep rhythm. They say that even when they are sleeping deeply, if you talk to them or pick them up while they are whining in a light sleep, they will wake up and it will be difficult for them to fall back into deep sleep. Also, if you put them to sleep like that, they fall asleep quickly, but they wake up later because of sleep-related reasons, and they have to do the same thing to be able to sleep. I always did the sleep ritual in the same place, where I sleep. They said that even if I skipped it, the order shouldn't change, so I did it the same way every day. The kids are grown, but I still do the sleep ritual. When it's 6:30-7:00 in the evening, I turn off all the main lights, and only leave the stand light on softly. After dinner > wash > organize their toys > choose a book they want to read and read it to them in bed > sing them a lullaby and patting them > saying good night and leaving, the kids fall asleep on their own. (Instead of singing a lullaby, I sometimes turn on the turtle doll they like and watch it together.) Thinking about it now, I'm proud and thankful for the kids who followed the sleep training well. They say that babies follow whatever their parents tell them to do, and I think that's true.
