A detached apartment without a separate powder room... But I felt bad about giving up the powder room/vanity while remodeling, so I customized a small but full vanity space in the master bedroom. I'll organize all the things I regret and think I did well, and if you're thinking about customizing a vanity, what you should check! 🤍 (Please note that I created a dressing room-like space using a built-in closet as a partition in the master bedroom, so the vanity space became narrower.) 💚 This custom vanity was a good idea! ▫️ Using a mirror with LED lights: Since the space is separated, when my husband goes to work or one person is sleeping, it's bright enough to get ready without disturbing their sleep. ▫️ Dividing the bottom drawer into two: It's good because you can store things according to their purpose, and since one drawer is spacious, I usually store important things there. ▫️ The space below is also made into a storage space: It's small, but it's good because it's made into a storage space so you can neatly store feminine products, extra cosmetics, packs, etc. ⛔ I regret this ▫️ The outlet is placed below: Since it's a place where a lot of electricity is used, such as a hair dryer, if you place it above, you can keep it neater, such as organizing the cables, so be sure to place it above the vanity. ▫️ The depth of the drawer is relatively shallow: It would be nice if it were deep enough to fit cosmetics, but it's too shallow to store them, which is unfortunate. (If you can make the drawer deep, make it as deep as possible to put all your cosmetics and beauty devices in it. I've seen many cases where the electricity is pulled out of the inside of the drawer and used neatly..!) ✅ A checklist that you won't regret if you just know this ▫️ Measure the minimum space! If you have plenty of space, it's okay, but the vanity should be made at least 70*100 in size to be convenient to use and stable when looking at the space. ▫️ Figure out the storage needs or style! When remodeling, there are many things to worry about, so I actually said, "Please do it yourself~", but please check the depth of the drawers, the location of the outlets, the storage locations, etc. by understanding your lifestyle! Then, you will be able to create a powder space without regrets. ▫️ Avoid using matte film for the countertop material! At first, I was going to go with matte because it looks pretty and the film saved money, but the interior designer said that it would be better to make it out of marble because cosmetics and scratches might not be erased later, so I did that. I think it was a really good decision to do this. 🟡 Lastly, if you utilize even a small space well, you can create a beautiful and practical dressing table. I have been using it for a year and I am satisfied with many aspects!
