Hello. I am Da-eun-daun. The reason I named myself 'Da-eun-daun' is because my name is 'Da-eun'. I thought about 'Da-eun-da-da', 'Da-eun-da-um', etc. to express my desire to live the most like myself, and then I ended up using the name 'Da-eun-daun' as an adjective. I am writing an article introducing myself with a photo, and I feel like I want to do something great, but I will write it as naturally as I always pursue :) I am a person who likes pretty and beautiful things. Beyond liking them, they become the standard for many of my choices. When I look for a good restaurant, choose a travel accommodation, go to a cafe, take pictures, and make small choices in my daily life, I have discovered that I am making choices based on 'Is it pretty?' without even realizing it. When I am not aware of it, I am taking a close look at the things I choose and decide unconsciously and instinctively, and I can easily discover what I like and what kind of person I am. If I were to describe my lifestyle, I think it would be best to say that it is the daily life of a freelancer with my husband. So this newlywed home where we spend the most time becomes our workplace and a place of rest. It also feels like a travel destination where we spend our leisure time. To that extent, I pursue a lifestyle where there is no boundary between life and daily life, work and leisure, and I also spend my daily life experimenting. Since the space where I spend the most time is my home, I naturally spent the most energy decorating this house. I was able to discover that the source of this energy is not obsession or a sense of duty, but complete joy. I think that’s how I found out - who I am, what I like, and what makes me happiest and most alive. I love beautiful spaces, and I am a person who comes alive when I am immersed in them. I can put all the elements I like in the big picture of space. If I were to list down the elements I like - I like flowers. And I like jazz. I also love coffee and wine. And I come alive when I smell a good scent. And I love nature, the epitome of beauty, so much. These elements become the 'materials' that can be contained in the spaces I create. That's why I think I really like spaces that are decorated most like me and Da-eun. Did you know that the etymology of 'beautiful' is 'like me'? I believe that we are the most beautiful when we live most like ourselves. We are all beings with our own unique colors, and I think we are already unique and beautiful just by existing. That's why I think I can love myself more and look at each other that way.
